We’ve worked a good bit on Sparkly today, adding a bunch of new graphics and tidying up the pages a bit so they’re more accessible. Hope you like these!

Firstly, wallpapers! I’ve added eleven new wallpapers thanks to a donation by the fantabulous Martha (thanks again, Martha!!) as well as one by Kaetlyn and two by myself. Those two are rather an experiment again, and I’m quite pleased with one but not quite sure about the other!

Next up, icons! Connor donated fourteen great Emma icons, and in case you missed them earlier, there are also two new Potter icons by Martha up. So if you’re looking for something for your LJ, check those out!

I added another new page today – welcome, banners! In-between signatures and blends, they’re medium-size graphics you can use to prettify your LJ (or any site, really – I’m using one over at my personal!). So we’ve got twelve gorgeous banners by Kaetlyn up there, hope you enjoy that!

Karly is also in the process of uploading several gorgeous fanmixes. Check out the gorgeous cover artwork and song listings for now, and we’ll let you know as soon as we have those available for download.

Kaetlyn has been working hard on the gallery and we now have nearly 400 images in the appearances section, all the way up to the gorgeous 2005 BAFTAs gallery. Check those out if you’re in need of some Emma photos – high-quality and untagged, this gallery is easily the best around.

Finally (finally!), I’ve made the Sparkly! section a bit easier to navigate with links to each person’s artwork on the icons and wallpapers pages. Hope those are helpful, and hope you enjoyed this update!

Allison here, now! I’d like to address the controversy popping up now about the recent merge of four other Emma sites: Electric Watson, Shimmering Emma, Miss Watson, and Princess Emma Watson. For those who haven’t heard, these four sites just recently merged to form Princess Watson. They’ve been getting a lot of obnoxious comments accusing them of copycatting and stealing our ideas and frankly, that’s just not cool.

The four of us can’t truthfully say we weren’t a bit annoyed or angry when we found out that the sites were merging right after we did and visited the new one. It’s really not a big deal, though – this is just a hobby, a cool little project set up to appreciate Emma and for a cool thing for fans to be able to visit and have some fun with. Nobody’s out to take over the world (at this site or their’s), and let’s not freak out and make this a big deal.

My original plan was to upload the captures for all 4 films, but after Philosopher’s Stone took me around an hour, I gave up. How does Kaetlyn do it? Anyway, those will probably be moved around in the future as the movie gallery is built up (not to mention I don’t want Kaetlyn to kill me for messing something up). Anyway, go look at those.

In addition to that I’ve made a small update to the Favourite Pairing page with 5 new submissions. Keep sending those in!

EDIT: Yo yo, ‘sup? Anyway, moving on from the scary speaking Kaetlyn, I’ve been uploading and uploading … and uploading. Appearances is still getting a work-out done, and I’ve fixed up the errors reported on the Prisoner UK Premiere. Anyway, still uploading, and don’t forget to report errors! Also, I go back to school tomorrow, so gallery updates will lessen to about one or maybe two albums a day, only, but I will try and get more in. - Kaetlyn

EDIT: Yet more updates! I’ve added two awesome animated Potter icons to the icons section. These were donated by Martha, so give her a big thanks!

Our media source Sparkly was looking a little drab and since that rather boring layout was done on a whim, I’ve fixed it up a bit! In addition to that I’ve added lots of graphics, which I know everyone loves. After doing a little inventory, we’ve got (all under my section) 14 new Emma icons, 5 for the co-stars and 5 under Potter.

Another addition to Sparkly includes some pretty fantastic new tutorials I’ve cooked up. The first one explains how to acheive a cool “fragmented” effect – but don’t take my word for it, check it out for yourself! Next up is not only one other tutorial, but TWO! They’re a collection of colouring techniques, displayed in icon size for minimum loading time. View those here. You can expect quite a few more of those to be added in the near future – I’m kind of addicted.

In the fanzone I’ve added some new responses to Why Emma? and Favourite Pairing. Thanks to Natalie, Lauren, R/Hr Fan and Hermione Weasley for your submissions. I’ve got everything from the graphics competition and fan of the month – don’t worry about that! Remember that if you want to be our fan of the month submit your answer by this Wednesday, January 31!

Last but not least, some new affiliates have been added: Lunarry, Samaire Armstrong Online, Brilliant Bookworm, Ron and Hermione Source, Evanna Lynch Online and Magic Dust.

I’ve done yet more form fixing! A number of you let me know that the affiliates form wasn’t working so I checked that out, and indeed, I’d linked the wrong script! That’s fixed now, however, and should be good and usable.

We’d like to mention, however, that we’re being very picky about affiliates. We’d rather not accumulate too many so we’re taking only the best sites. If your site was affiliated with Emma-W.com, Mystic-Magic.net, EmmaLove.org, or MysticMagic.net, we ask that you please remove your old link and reapply if you’d still like to be affiliated. Oh, and to all those who’ve given us compliments on the large, gorgeous and simple-to-understand, high-quality, untagged, rare-images gallery – we thank Kaetlyn a million times, she truly is Teh Photo Goddess!

This will be a really short update as I have no time to, really. But Univers Harry Potter has one of the photos we saw earlier in better quality, and I thought it was worth posting! Hopefully we’ll get it in high quality soon

Old visitors of EmmaLove.org will remember the awesome Style Files section Lynn had up and probably have also missed that. Well, y’all will be thrilled to hear that the Style Files are back! Due to the problems we’re having with email forms, the interaction sections are not up yet, but we’ve got the outfit-looks back as well as webmaster’s critique. Check out the whole thing here and stay tuned for loads of fan-ish updates to that section quite soon!

In case you’ve not noticed, also, the gallery is still growing! The Press section is getting a lot of work now – there’s loads of high-quality images up from various HP&PS and HP&COS events. Definitely check those out, ’cause we’ve got a lot of rare images – quite a few even I haven’t seen before. Thank our awesome webmiss Kaetlyn for all that, and check back soon for more updates!
