January 27, 2007: an everything update
Our media source Sparkly was looking a little drab and since that rather boring layout was done on a whim, I’ve fixed it up a bit! In addition to that I’ve added lots of graphics, which I know everyone loves. After doing a little inventory, we’ve got (all under my section) 14 new Emma icons, 5 for the co-stars and 5 under Potter.
Another addition to Sparkly includes some pretty fantastic new tutorials I’ve cooked up. The first one explains how to acheive a cool “fragmented” effect - but don’t take my word for it, check it out for yourself! Next up is not only one other tutorial, but TWO! They’re a collection of colouring techniques, displayed in icon size for minimum loading time. View those here. You can expect quite a few more of those to be added in the near future - I’m kind of addicted.
In the fanzone I’ve added some new responses to Why Emma? and Favourite Pairing. Thanks to Natalie, Lauren, R/Hr Fan and Hermione Weasley for your submissions. I’ve got everything from the graphics competition and fan of the month - don’t worry about that! Remember that if you want to be our fan of the month submit your answer by this Wednesday, January 31!
Last but not least, some new affiliates have been added: Lunarry, Samaire Armstrong Online, Brilliant Bookworm, Ron and Hermione Source, Evanna Lynch Online and Magic Dust.
Don’t forget to vote for Emma as your favourite Potter star in the BBC Newsround Poll, and by the way - thank you for all the donations! I’m going to start adding those soon as I can.
