I discovered a tip on the Sassy! style forums towards an article about a ITV program on George Eliot. Emma is reported to be reading an extract from George Eliot’s great niece’s diary. The program, “Travels in Written Britain”, will be shown on the ITV1 on Sunday 20th April at 10:45 PM (Episode Three – “The Midlands”). If you’re able to tape the show for us or even just get to see it, let us know what you think!
Sunday’s episode, which will discuss some of the Midlands’ most influential writers, will see comedienne Josie Lawrence reading from George Eliot at Arbury Hall.
There will also be an extract from George Eliot’s great niece’s diary read by Harry Potter star Emma Watson.

I can happily confirm the above part is true, with an ITV statement being issued with the publicity of this episode. Just a reminder, this is audio only, so there are no promos of Emma. Oh well, on with the statement:
Contributors include: Simon Russell Beale, Cat Deeley, Sam West, Emma Watson, Josie Lawrence, Richard Griffiths, Jasper Carrott, Keith Barron, Benjamin Zephaniah, Jonathan Coe, Meera Syal, Christopher Lee.
Similarly, in Emma casting news, Hollywood Reporter has released an article stating that Emma will have a leading role in an upcoming film entitled, Napoleon and Betsy. Still waiting for confirmation from Emma or her reps, so just hang tight. Thanks to tips from SnitchSeeker and Jimmy for the news!
Watson will play Betsy Balcombe, a young, impetuous noblewoman trapped on the isolated British Isle of St. Helena who falls in love with Napoleon, who is in exile on the island.
