They're always talking about keeping it real, keeping it with the story. They sometimes go the complete opposite of what they say. They're cutting scenes form the books and adding new ones! I have no problem with this scene. As much as I hate hate hate Lavender, if this scene is in the movie, Ron saving Hermione and Hermione getting jealous of Lavender is a big Ron/Hermione moment, which I love. To me, it's fine that they're adding in additional scenes. It's even okay if they leave out scenes. Because I think any movie based on a book will be very different from the original.
