June 10, 2008: Switching It Up
The school year is wrapping up for some of us and we’ve got a present in celebration! There’s a new layout decking the site and we hope you really like this one. The layout was created by Karly and features an image from Emma’s 2008 Stella magazine photoshoot.
The layout features a pretty large header image so if you have a smaller screen resolution or would just like more space on the page for the text, you can navigate over to the style switcher link on the sidebar to your left! It’s under “Site Summary” and there you can switch between the large or smaller header.
Thanks much to Kayla for passing on some news about the Ballet Shoes DVD! According to Amazon, it’s to be released September 2, 2008. You can preorder the DVD from Amazon here or check out our album of Ballet Shoes-related images at ihwmedia.net right here.
I’d also like to ask that y’all continue to be patient with us and the site in the following few weeks. You’ve been incredibly supportive and friendly though there’s been very little news lately, and we really appreciate that! All four of us are currently on some kind of hiatus from either the fandom or internet at the time, making updates a bit more difficult. Keep on browsing, keep on enjoying, and have fun!

Hmm, I will say something who isn’t about this new layout. I know it’s really, really late to say this, it’s about Paparazzis & Emma. I respect your decision but I think you should add the category “Candids” in the gallery. But not ALL the gallery. I’m totally agree with you when you say “The paparazzi stepped way too far”, it was scandalous ! But some of pictures are really nice. So, I think it will be really cool if you add ONLY those beautiful pictures (where Emma is smiling, for example). But… It’s your choice and I think it’s a really respectly choice.
It’s just my personnal opinion
Last thing : I’m sorry if I have done mistakes in my message but I’m French
In fact, I learn English at school, so I’m just a beginner. Be indulgent with me, please

The new layout is great and that’s a beautiful photo of Emma. However, I would have just one complaint: I hate when photos of people are flipped. Faces are not exactly symmetrical and you can definitely tell the photo has been reversed, it makes Emma look weird especially since her hair is not parted in the middle either. Maybe this is just a pet peeve of mine that bothers nobody else, but I find it incredibly distracting and it ruins the whole effect for me.

The layout looks great. There’s something classic about it.. I love the simplicity of it, off-setting Emma’s beauty and letting that be the focus. It could be something from an old movie, especially because of the way she is dressed.
