We now have full scans of the Vogue Italia spread! Check them out in the galleries here and enjoy the amazing quality goodness. Huge thank-yous go out to Arwen (whom I would email back but my email is currently faulty)! There is also an one-page article which we hope to have a translation of for you soon.

We also have a translation of the quote on the second scan:

People have the sensation that they know me intimately because they saw me turning from a girl into a woman, even that only through the screen.

Thank you so much, Evie!

EDIT: Thanks to commenter Hermione Weasley, who gave us a full translation of the article! Read on for the translation. (more…)

I’m sure you guys’ll love this spread! As reported previously, Emma’s appearance in this month’s (next month’s?) Vogue Italia has hit the internet! Gratuitous thanks to the lovely post over at the EW.net forums via Fashion Spot forums, Emma rocks out in awesome form, with pictures that are classic haute couture!

At the moment, there’s only pictures (as in, photographs – not scans), but if anyone is able to get their hands on some scans, we’d really appreciate it! Now, onwards with the pictures!

Of course, credit for these wonderful pictures goes to EW.net forums and Fashion Spot forums!

EDIT:  Thanks to moussemaker at the Fashion Spot forums who posted four more photos of the magazine. Follow the links above to see them added to the galleries!

‘Alloy’ interviews Emma, plus HBP calender stuff!

Thanks to the wonderful R in our previous post, we have got a new interview with Emma, thanks to Alloy.com. The interview mostly focuses on Ballet Shoes, but Emma also answers questions on rumour, tabloids and the future!

Who do you relate to more: Pauline or Hermione?
It’s such a hard question because I relate to both of the characters so much. I relate to Pauline in terms [of] her experience, this overnight fame that she experiences is very similar to what I went through when I was younger; her insecurities and how to try to be an actress and worrying what people will think, or if she’s any good. I don’t know. I can really relate to all of that side of her, but then also with Hermione, I relate to wanting to escape and books and school work. I’m also quite a tomboy, so I relate to that. She’s very determined and loyal. I really relate to both of the characters.

And thanks to hbpmoviepics, there are some new shots of the upcoming 2009 desktop calender, with Hermione not featured on a month. You can check out some largish covers, plus a sneak peek into the inside of the calender.

Several new stills from ‘HPHBP’ have showed up online, two including Hermione. Thanks to Pipoca Combo for these! We also have four small images from Emma’s photoshoot with Evening Standard in 2005 – and yes, we are, as always, on the look for HQ versions of these! In case you missed recent news in the uproar about the new release date, next week’s Entertainment Weekly has a feature on the movie, we have a new still that may be from either OOTP or HBP, and the September UK edition of Harper’s Bazaar has a page on Emma’s style.

edit! New layout up at the galleries – bugs or errors? Just leave us a comment, and I’ll fix it up as quick as I can. Also, during a random update of our press archives (which has over 100 articles, just so, y’know … :D), I’ve found a couple of new articles which relate to Emma being shortlisted for the Greenest Star for Playhouse Disney. - Kaetlyn

The ‘Doctor Who’ star – who drives an environmentally friendly hybrid car – has beaten celebrities from a shortlist including Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio, Emma Watson and Sienna Miller in the survey, voted for by families across the UK. source

Harry Potter star Emma Watson also made the Top 10 for spending time working with the Wild Trout Trust. source

‘Half-Blood Prince’ Pushed Back

Article by Allison on August 15, 2008 with 8 comments

The release date of the sixth and next Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, has been pushed back from November 21, 2008 to July 17, 2009. Potter news site HPANA has confirmed with Warner Brothers and has info from a variety of Warner Brothers and Potter people, as follows.

Alan Horn, President and Chief Operating Officer of Warner Bros.:

Our reasons for shifting Half-Blood Prince to summer are twofold: we know the summer season is an ideal window for a family tent pole release, as proven by the success of our last Harry Potter film, which is the second-highest grossing film in the franchise, behind only the first installment. Additionally, like every other studio, we are still feeling the repercussions of the writers’ strike, which impacted the readiness of scripts for other films—changing the competitive landscape for 2009 and offering new windows of opportunity that we wanted to take advantage of. We agreed the best strategy was to move Half-Blood Prince to July, where it perfectly fills the gap for a major tent pole release for mid-summer.

Jeff Robinov, President of Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group:

The release date change does not alter the production schedule for this or future Harry Potter films. Post-production on Half-Blood Prince was completed on time, and the studio’s release plans for the two-part Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will not be affected by this change. We know Harry Potter fans are eagerly anticipating seeing the final chapters unfold onscreen. In fact, the good news for them is that the gap will now be shortened between Half-Blood Prince and the first part of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

David Heyman, producer:

When Jeff Robinov explained the rationale behind moving the release date of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince to July 2009, it was immediately apparent that this offered us the potential to reach the widest possible audience. I am extremely proud of this latest film and of the work of David Yates and our incomparable cast; I believe we have developed and pushed the series further still. We are all looking forward to sharing it with Harry Potter fans around the world, even if we have to wait just a bit longer.

Thanks to HPANA for sharing the unfortunate news and for the info. The official Potter site has been updated with the info, as has our filmography page (which should, incidentally, be seeing some updates soon).

EDIT: Thanks to Sher, who let us know that Emma’s official site has been updated with news about Emma’s A Level results! Congratulations go out to Emma, who received A’s in her three subjects: English literature, geography, and art. Hurray!

The gallery also seems to be back up, so check it out and have fun!

EDIT: More happy news! Thanks to Oh No They Didn’t!, we have scans from an article on HPHBP in next week’s Entertainment Weekly. There are no new Emma images, but she does come up and it’s pretty interesting. You can check out the scans at ihwmedia.net right here.

I’ve also begun an extensive page on the film over in the filmography section. You can check that out here – and if there’s anything else you’d like to see there, please, do let me know, I’d love to know how I can make the site more interesting and helpful to you!

EDIT! New still for Half Blood Prince or an Order of the Phoenix still? Discuss? - Kaetlyn
