Emma’s first magazine spread for 2009 has appeared, shot by the famous photographer Ellen von Unwerth. Shot for Vs. Magazine showcases a brand new side to Emma. Thanks to Hero in CH!Q, I’ve added some small-ish grouped scans to the galleries.

Also, IMDB has listed the runtime for Half Blood Prince as 140 minutes (2 hours, 20 minutes) – this has not been confirmed by Warner Bros., but we’ll keep you guys updated.

New POA Images

Seven high-resolution images featuring Emma in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban are now online thanks to Oclumencia! Four are new movie stills and three are behind-the-scenes images that we’ve previously had only in medium quality.

We’ve also heard from Warner Brothers via HPANA that the recently-posted Japanese trailer will not be showing with any movies in US theaters. We are sorry for the misinformation and hoping to be able to report movie news soon!

Three Matters of Importance

First off, Emma’s official site has been recently updated with a new EMS (or, Emma Messaging System) message. Emma writes about a recent trip to Cuba, taking the SATs (tomorrow!), shooting for Deathly Hallows, and other miscellaneous news. Check that out on the official site here!

Second off, a much-discussed and rumored new Half-Blood Prince trailer has finally showed up online! That’s currently available (with Japanese subtitles!) on YouTube. The trailer is playing with Inkheart and He’s Just Not That Into You in theaters, starting today, and we hope to have a better-quality version online soon. Enjoy!

Thirdly, here’s the big one. We’re not quite sure as a team how to break this news to you. We’ve talked about it some thought about it a lot, and pushed the job off for another day or another time. I’m really hoping for your unconditional love here.

You ready? (This feels a little like one of those really irritating email forwards: “READY? ************** READY? ********** NOPE YOU’RE STILL NOT READY! HAHAHA! ********** . . . READY? ****** NOPE!” Thank you all so much for never sending us a single one of those in two years.)

Okay, I’ll say it. We’ve added a fifth member to our team!

I know, this is big! This is BIG! Two years of the same, and now we’ve got some crazy newcomer mixing things up. We know you’re going to love her. Please welcome Niuserre to the site. She’s been our host since the very beginning and has always been one of our most staunch supporters. I worked with Niu on an outstanding fansite several years ago, almost when I first got into the HP fandom, and I know her to be very professional and very good at what she does. She’ll be helping us with Sparkly! updates and more, and she’s going to make a great member of our team. Please welcome her warmly!

You’ll be hearing from Niu and the rest of the staff soon – we’ve got yet more in the works! – so stay tuned, and enjoy that trailer!

Back into routine!

Hey guys! Thanks for all the lovely comments and emails we received as we celebrated two years online! Who knew it could go so fast? Thanks to Susan who made us a wonderful little gift.

Moving on from our general birthday-related frivolity, back to regular site news! Another interview from Emma’s U.S. press run has surfaced, this time with the Brazilian magazine Cinepop! The interview is mostly in English but does trickle into Brazilian from time to time – you can view a transcript here – there’s likely to be some errors, my Brazilian Portuguese isn’t really up to scratch!

There’s so much ahead of you. How do you see yourself in a few years? Is it, “Oh, I wanna do this … maybe work on this kind of project?” Graduate from college, I guess? Tell me, tell us, tell your fans.
Well I’m looking to go to university in September, but I’ve also go to finish ‘Harry Potter’. We have to film the seventh film. There’s so much. There’s so many types of things I’d like to do – I’d love to do a musical, I’d love to do a play or drama. I’d love to do some smaller, independent films. It’s a very exciting time for me right now. video, transcript

Also up on the agenda, a little gallery update. This update includes even more high qualities from the Despereaux Los Angeles premiere, plus some new pictures of Emma from her Paris Fashion Week stint. A couple of new pictures from the Somerset Ceremony and from Cartier Polo Day. Check those out (and more!) over at ihwmedia.net.

Hurray!

Happy second birthday to IHeartWatson.net! We have a gorgeous new layout up, created by our own Kaetlyn, and will have more celebrations happening soon. Keep in touch!

First behind-the-scenes shot from ‘Half Blood Prince’

Warner Bros. has released a high quality version of the Trio shot from the Empire Jan 09. Emma features as Hermione, but you only see the back of her head, unfortunately. Check it out here.

Thanks to a tip from Snitch Seeker, I’ve added a brand new interview into our press archives. The interview, featured in Mizz Magazine, covers ‘Despereaux’, ‘Potter’, real life and life after acting. Clear scans haven’t hit the ‘Net yet, but you can see some fuzzy pictures here.

Family films can still push boundaries, present challenging ideas and, most importantly, keep everyone entertained. It was just something really interesting, something different. I hope that directors will give me the chance to do something quite far away from Hermione. source

Remember the dress Emma wore to the world premiere of ‘Despereaux’? Well, the creator William Tempest has recently spoken about the dress and fangirls over Emma! You can read the entire article here.

What have you been up to recently?
Well, Emma Watson wore a dress as her premiere in LA, so I’ve been doing that and doing fittings with her and I’ve made her a few dresses for different things and hopefully she will wear some of them to other events.

The design of the dress is really nice, how did you come up with it?
Emma’s dress, well you know she’s only 18, but she’s quite classic isn’t she? but still she wants to be young and edgy as well, so it’s quite good the things I’ve chosen for her.

How did Emma Watson come to wear one of your designs?
Well, she was at the Fashion Fringe show and I just thought Oh My God, can’t believe Emma Watson is here, and you know I just wanted to dress her and then she really liked me too. I actually got in touch with her, and spoke to her and her assistant and they were so glad because they wanted to get in touch with me anyway. So then she had loads of garments that she took to Paris with her, but the only one she’s really been photographed in is that one. It’s been in everything too, so I’m happy. source

Just a little update – an eensy bitsy update.

Emma made a brief (pre-recorded?) appearance on Classic FM’s ‘The Guest List’. Emma discusses Despereaux, the challenges of voice recording and the generic but interesting quality of Princess Pea. You can download the audio here from our audio archive. Classic FM have also got it up for download on their site.
