New year, new photoshoot!

filed under: Emma News, HPHBP, Magazines, New Photos

Emma’s first magazine spread for 2009 has appeared, shot by the famous photographer Ellen von Unwerth. Shot for Vs. Magazine showcases a brand new side to Emma. Thanks to Hero in CH!Q, I’ve added some small-ish grouped scans to the galleries.

Also, IMDB has listed the runtime for Half Blood Prince as 140 minutes (2 hours, 20 minutes) – this has not been confirmed by Warner Bros., but we’ll keep you guys updated.

  4. I think it is a little weird but Then again its Ellen Von Unwerth. That should explain it. It looks like Emma is having fun so that is all that matters.

  8. i think it’s absolutely wonderful. there’s nothing weird or horrible about it. i think it’s one of the best photoshoots she’s ever done.

  9. ITS NOT EMMAS TASTE! SHE DOESNT PICK WHICH CLOTHES SHE WANTS TO WEAR OR WHAT KIND OF PHOTOS THEY HAVE TO TAKE! ITS THAT FAMOUS PHOTOGRAPHER WHO DID THIS, NOT EMMA.by the way,I dont like those photos. They are lame. She looks like…I dont want to offend anybody, but she looks like a slut…I like only one photo whith that doll and thats all. The rest is horrible!

  10. I love this! Emma looks like she’s having a lot of fun, and I love the circus/cabaret feeling of the shoot. Too cute.

  12. It totally reminds me of Moulin Rouge style. I like it – at least it’s something new, different and refreshing!

  13. I believe that this is the artists(photographers) rendering of how she would like to see Emma, or a piece of Emma. I don’t really believe that this is exactly what Emma would have thought of to do. But I believe that a piece of Emma is in each photo, she’s not hating to do this!! I especially enjoyed looking at the quadtyptic with Emma and the, oh possibly he could be a magician, and she is absolutely getting into the role that she was to be in. I really liked that. Expressions like I’ve never seen out of her, very pleasant to look at. Plus if you looked at the picture to the right of it, she’s got the move! Great dance picture. All in all, it’s a unique photoshoot and you have to be in the mind of the artist to really understand what all she is trying to do here. That’s all I’ll say.

  14. LOL @ everyone who is ~shocked~. How old are you all, 10? Honestly, you call that slutty? This photoshoot is fantastic. It’s sexy in an artistic way. She’s showing a little leg, that’s all. Get off of your high horse.

    Comment by Brittany — January 30, 2009 @ 1:20 pm

  15. You guys are prudes, or just very young.

  16. i actually like the photoshoot. it might not be the type of photoshoot we usually see from emma but i think the image really looks good on her. the “sultry” look is really hard to pull off especially for teenagers at her age so congrats to her for doing well with the shoot. and if you look, u can really tell that emma enjoyed the photoshoot.

i think the only reason why ppl hate this photoshoot is because she’s showing more skin than usual. they wanna see emma as “innocent” and “child-like”. i, on the other hand, like it how she’s being more flexible with her photoshoots and taking a step out of her “childhood” image.

  17. I think that some people do not want Emma to be taking these slightly more mature photoshoots. We have to remember that shes not a little girl anymore. She’ll be 19 in April, and I don’t think we can fault her for showing a bit of leg. It’s not asif that’s particularly bad nowadays anyway.

  18. OMG, this is one of the best photoshoots she’s done so far! I love Ellen Von Unwerth, she has her own style. It looks like Emma had a bunch of fun during the shoot and the effect is just…WOW!

  19. I like this shot. It’s wonderful!

  20. I’m quite keen to see the HQ versions of these photos should they be made available. I adore this set. It’s crazy and out of mind, but that’s what’s amazing about them in my opinion.

    Comment by Sher — January 31, 2009 @ 12:20 am

  21. for all of those who say the pics are awful are crazy and SHE IS NOT A SLUT! she maybe 18 but she’s no SLUT! i’m gonna turn 18 in a month, so do you think i’d be Slutty when i’m 18? NO idiot.

Anyway i love the pictures, she is really Pretty in them.

  23. Emma Did another photoshoot for Daily Mail!

    Comment by Juliet — February 1, 2009 @ 1:54 pm

  24. Always keep in mind that the woman in those pictures is not necessarily Emma, even though she looks a lot like her. It could always be Emma acting to be somebody else, which is always one of the points about a photoshoot. It´s acting a frame at a time without saying your lines, but instead expressing it with body-language, facial expressions, make-up and the clothing. Her choice of photographers has been good so far and I am waiting for the Annie Leibovitz collaboration, which Emma Watson will hopefully do one day. :-)
