Happy 19th, Emma!

As you may or may not know, today is Emma’s 19th birthday! On behalf of all the staff, visitors and lurkers on iheartwatson.net we wish her a great day surrounded by family, friends and of course prezzies, on this her (approximately) 6935th day on this Earth. Have fun Emma! Emma has also updated with a new e.m.s in regards to her sneaky birthday, university and plans – check that out here.
Also in other fabulous-related news, Half Blood Prince has been pushed up to be released July 15th 2009, two days prior to when it was to be released. Time to update those countdowns, ehs? You can read a brief press release here.
You ask and we deliver! … sometimes
Yes, yes, yes, this is a post of relevance (and on time too)!
Thanks to rampant searching over the past month, we’ve managed to track down the Vs. Magazine in high quality, including all the outtakes! Also, an added bonus, a new (and absolutely adorable!) high quality picture of Emma from last year’s Sonia Rykiel Paris Fashion Week event. You can view the photoshoot here at our (currently up) galleries.
Also, Jo has updated EWO to counteract some of the recent rumours which have been floating around. She states that Emma has not accepted any sort of teritary studies position, either in the UK or the USA, and that she does not have a Twitter. However, she does confirm that Emma is looking at American Universities.
Thanks to Oclumencia, it’s been revealed that the role of Hermione Granger’s mother has been casted for the final installments of the Potter movies. The article isn’t too information heavy, but it’s quite a good read. Am I the only one who missed the Grangers’ roles in Deathly Hallows?
Apologies for the inaccessibility to the gallery for the past few days. We were unable to do anything about it.
edit! Another photoshoot, aren’t you guys lucky? Thanks to OMW we now have the BAFTA 2009 photoshoot! Woo! Check that out here!
Teaser Poster for HBP due out February 5th?
According to the following sources, the first teaser poster for the sixth installment of the Potter series is set to hit the web February 5th 2009. Hopefully, this rumour turns out to be true and we’ll start with the avalanche of promotion that comes with Potter movies! Stay tuned and we’ll see what happens!
Jo has updated EWO with a small note on Emma’s Blue Peter donation and a brief mention on Emma’s interview with Live! (the Daily Mail article and shoot). You can view the mini update here.
Also, a few press articles have been added to our archives. Any ‘rumourish’ articles have been tagged as such. Included in this update: Emma’s lack of cinematic familiarity with her co-stars prior to ‘Potter’; her opinions on food, cooking and diet; comments on the WB ‘good behaviour’ clause; Rupert Grint’s worry at having to kiss Emma in DH and Robert Pattinson on the trio’s fame management.
Rob told YOU magazine: “I think the way the kids from Harry Potter are dealing with fame is by ignoring everything and just living their normal lives as much as they can.” source
“Daniel (Radcliffe), Rupert (Grint) and I have been incredibly protected doing the Harry Potter movies. There seems to be this feeling that all of us were bursting to break out of these images we had created but that’s never been the case. We all share the same view. None of us court celebrity, none of us want to be part of the game.” source
“As I’ve known Emma for so long, I reckon it will be 10 times worse,” says the 20-year-old actor, who plays Ron Weasley. source
She said: “Even if I wanted to be that skinny, I love food and I love cooking and I love sitting down and having nice meals, so it just wouldn’t be possible for me.” source
The British star – who shot to fame playing Hermione Granger, one of three starring roles in the popular film franchise – grew up in an academic family and barely watched movies. source
A little request from the staff: we’re not going to delete comments, but excessive language will be modified. You all have the right to state your opinion and debate freely – it’s alright to disagree with Emma, duh! – but we do ask that you refrain from using the f-bomb or other such words. We aim to keep iheartwatson.net as PG-13 as possible.
