The first time I heard about fair trade was during a geography coursework project, and I remember thinking, ‘Why isn’t everything fair trade?’ Everyone knows about fair-trade bananas and coffee, but of course anything can be fair trade. Yahoo! have released a short article with Emma and Dan from the set of ‘Deathly Hallows’! Both actors talk about their characters and the emotional and physical journeys the Trio have to go through during the scenes. Extracts from Emma’s input can be seen below, while the entire article can be read here at the original source.

Emma Watson noted, “It was so nice to be outside, in the forest and out of the studio – running about. It was so much fun. Because it’s such an emotional, heavy film, it was nice to get out and do some action stuff.

“They were very fun scenes to film. Being out of Hogwarts just makes it really different. It just gives the audience a whole different experience. I’m so excited to see it together.”

[...] Watson adds, “It’s challenging in every way – physically, emotionally. They’re away from home. They’re isolated, they don’t have any news. They don’t know what they’re doing. They’re pulling at shreds. Dumbledore had hardly left them anything to go on.” source

In other interview-esque-related-news, Jessie Cave, who played newcomer Lavendar Brown in ‘Half Blood Prince’, has spoken out in a new interview with Scholastic. While she speaks on many topics, one of her questions mentioned Emma!

Q: Who do you think you bonded with most?
Jessie: On set? Definitely Emma [Watson who plays Hermione]. I really got on with Emma really well. I thought she was brilliant. source

Edit! WWD Fashion have released an article speaking on the new Burberry campaign. They talked briefly on the relationship between Emma and Alex Watson and the dynamics between them which led to Alex’s inclusion in the campaign and subsequent signing to Storm Models, alongside big sister Emma Watson.

According to a Burberry spokesman, chief creative officer Christopher Bailey met Alex through Emma, and “loved their dynamic, their brother and sister energy,” so he decided to take a chance and use him in the campaign. Alex, who has the same sharp chin and fierce brows as his elder sibling, has since been signed to Storm, Emma’s agency. source

Edit! Two videos have also been released for this campaign – a behind the scenes look at the shoots, plus a short message from Emma for all the Burberry fans on Facebook! Videos can be viewed below and screencaptures have been added into the galleries here and here.

Emma had a bit to say on the subject, commenting:

“I think young people like me are becoming increasingly aware of the humanitarian issues surrounding fast fashion and want to make good choices but there aren’t many options out there.” source

“I was excited by the idea of using fashion as a tool to alleviate poverty and knew it was something I could help make a difference with.” source

Described as “clean, sexy and easy to wear” the collection is set to be released in February 2010. A promotional image for the collection was also released, view it here in the galleries.

An entirely new photo from Emma’s photoshoot with Elle UK is in the galleries. As always, we’ll have more and larger images up if possible ASAP!

While in New York, Emma also did a couple of televisional interviews; including Letterman, the Early Show and an unannounced appearance on th Today Show! Not only have we got promotional stills from her appearances on the above shows, but we’ve also got a load of photos of her arriving and departing from the interviews, including: 74 photos of Emma arriving at Letterman in an adorably dotty dress; 150 photos of Emma leaving Letterman in a completely different outfit; and some photos of Emma taping the Today Show, which includes an awesome shot of her gorgeous shoes (view them here).

We’ll have videos later (in a coming update, not this one), so for now, lose yourself in lots of pretty Emma pictures (after you’ve viewed the premiere photos, of course)! This will be your sixth premiere, does it change, does it get any more exciting, or more boring?
It’s got easier as I’ve learnt what to expect. I think the first time I went on to a red carpet I was 11 or 12 and it’s quite something. It’s so nice to see that people are still so fond of the series and so excited about the film. source
