Following on from our bumper ‘Entertainment Weekly’ post from yesterday, new photos and scans from the feature have slowly started trickling in. So far, Emma’s entire editorial has been uploaded and so have a few new behind-the-scenes photos from the set of “Deathly Hallows: Part 2″, as well as some from “Prisoner of Azkaban”! Some great quotes, from both Emma and her co-stars, have also been released and can be seen below. Scans are courtesy of Bunny_Slippers over at Pottershots.net.

Radcliffe credits his co-stars for personal growth, citing in particular his brother-sister relationship with Emma Watson. They certainly argued like siblings- but in a good way, about politics, religion and art. Says Watson: “William Blake, who is one of my favourite poets, wrote, ‘without contraries is no progression’. Dan and I, we really sparked on each other. He questioned me, he made me think. He’s so incredibly driven, ambitious, and passionate. You get something when you’re around someone like that all the time. He gives you that energy. I will miss that. A lot.”

On the first two movies, I was very much a child and had my hand held all the way through it. But Alfonso didn’t baby us so much. He expected a lot more. For the first time, I fe;t, “Oh! I’m and actress. I have a job!”

“In the middle of shooting DH, I went out to dinner with Bonnie Wright, and we started talking about how we really needed to do something to mark the end of this important part if our lives…And then I had the thought of cutting my hair. That felt like an appropriate way of saying goodbye to Hermione.”

The photoshoot images from this editorial are from last year’s Martin Schoeller photoshoot for ‘Entertainment Weekly’, taken during the summer of 2010 (just after Emma got her hair cut).

‘Entertainment Weekly’ covers the end of Harry Potter: “Thank you, Harry!”

Movie and celebrity magazine ‘Entertainment Weekly’ will be releasing a super bumper-issue celebrating the end of the “Harry Potter” phenomena. Boasting exclusive interviews with the cast and crew, as well as secrets from the set, the issue will contain 50 pages of coverage, with a whole heap of content! A teaser press release has been released with a few interview snippets from the cast and a handful of images have been released, including: the nostaliga-inducing cover featuring a very young Harry Potter; an exclusive photoshoot showcasing the Trio’s “playfulness and blossoming adulthood”; plus two new behind-the-scenes photos, one from “Deathly Hallows: Part 1″ featuring Emma and David Yates discussing a scene and the other from “Deathly Hallows: Part 2″ featuring Emma relaxing on the set at King’s Cross Station.

The creators of the $2 billion-grossing Harry Potter movies may be laughing all the way to Gringotts Bank, but the success of the films wasn’t always such a sure thing. “If they had cast American actors or put cheerleaders at Hogwarts — and all these hideous ideas were indeed being pitched and discussed at the time – Harry Potter would have been one movie, not a series,” says Chris Columbus, director of the first two films in the most lucrative movie series in Hollywood history. “It would have just died.”

“I have spent more of my life being someone else than I have being myself,” says Watson. The 21-year-old remembers how she used to exasperate the crew at Leavesden Studios by wandering around when she wasn’t shooting. “There was an orchard, a line of apple trees, on one side of the grounds. I would go down and walk around there. Those poor ADs! They must have had nervous breakdowns whenever I would disappear.”

“I’ve never understood having crushes on people who you don’t know in real life. I only crush on people I meet. I mean, I can appreciate that someone is good-looking, obviously, but I don’t intend to fantasize about people I don’t know!”

“I try to avoid wearing black because sometimes it’s the easy option. But I’m young, so it’s nice to be able to play with color and not just wear black all the time. I can save that for when I’m older.”

“I dance a lot and I run and do yoga and play field hockey and tennis. I like to be active. I don’t always have time for that stuff, but I do always feel better afterward.”

“If I hadn’t done Harry Potter, I would have gone and done years of art. I really do love it, and I’d love to write.”

“Reducing your life down to three pairs of jeans, two skirts, a couple of shirts, and a few pairs of shoes was so nice for me. I really loved living in this tiny room where I didn’t’ have space for anything. It sounds really lame, but it made me feel a lot more free, because I just didn’t have as many choices.”

“I still have friends from primary school. And my two best girlfriends are from secondary school. I don’t have to explain anything to them. I don’t have to apologize for anything. They know. There’s no judgment in any way.”

“Most of my friends are doing their third year abroad so I might do my third year abroad as well, and then come back for my last year. I hope I could do that.”

“For the first two movies, I had a huge crush on Tom Felton. He was my first crush. He totally knows. We talked about it – we still laugh about it. We are really good friends now, and that’s cool.”

“No! I’m a terrible game player. I’m so impatient – it’s one of my worst traits! If I want to see someone, I want to see them, and if I don’t, then I don’t. My friends are always telling me I have to play hard to get because I’ll pretty much say to a guy, ‘I like you – let’s go hang out.’ But my friends are like, ‘You can’t do that! You have to string this guy along.’ And I’m just like, ‘No! I won’t! I just want to go on the date!’ It’s a nightmare – I definitely haven’t figured it out yet.”

In light of the upcoming “Deathly Hallows: Part 2″ media storm, Emma has landed herself another cover – this time on the Czech edition of ‘Marie Claire’ for July. The magazine reuses the photoshoot shot exclusively for ‘Marie Claire’ by Tesh, but uses new photos from Emma’s upcoming Lancôme campaign for Trésor Midnight Rose. Scans from the feature can be seen here in the galleries and we’d be very much appreciated if any of our Czech visitors would be able to provide a transcript from the interview. Scans are thanks to EmmaWatsonFan.net.

Later! A rough translation of the article can be seen in the press archives. And by “rough translation” I mean “rough translation attained from Google Translator”. Thanks to Sara from EmmaWatsonFan.net for the original Czech text; according to Sara, there isn’t much new information.

New photoshoot additions plus a new interview!

A new interview with Emma, which covers many topics such as stunt work, university, her final day and her hair (inevitably!), has arisen as well as some new photoshoot images from Emma’s latest session with Mariano Vivanco. You can check out the interview here in our press archives, and the photoshoot images can be viewed here in the photo galleries.

How difficult is it to look at a so called normal life cause everybody knows who you are…
The grass is always greener. So for me never having really known a normal life, the idea of sitting around in my dorm having a glass of wine and some pizza is really exciting to me. Cause it’s not something I’ve really done. I take pleasure in little things like that.

Do you remember the last day of the shooting? Only Daniel said something to the crew. Sometimes women prepare something for such important events not men.
That’s true! I feel like it was really Dan’s place, not mine, on that last day. I didn’t feel the need…I feel like between Dan and David Heyman they covered everything. So I didn’t have anything prepared.

Are you scared that people will only see you as Hermione and nothing else?
It’s funny, everyone keeps asking me that. I don’t feel scared at all. She is such an amazing role, such an amazing character. I don’t really want people to forget. Read more in our press archives.

More from Emma’s feature in ‘Vogue US’

Thanks to adoring_emma at livejournal, we have just added brand new, high quality images from Emma’s spread in the upcoming ‘Vogue US’ editorial. Accompanying the photos is an extremely long and indepth interview where Emma talks about university, “Perks”, filming and coming to grips to with who she is. Photos can be seen here in our galleries and the interview can be read in our press archives.

A video from the set, which also includes some musings by Emma, has also been released and can be seen right here on your Youtube page.

It’s the pixie-cut hair and flawless skin that give her away. Emma Watson is dressed unobtrusively in a cotton flower-print French Connection dress and beige sandals, but she is unmistakable. Fans have accosted her five times in the past half hour alone. Today is the actress’s twenty-first birthday, and she is determined to spend it as she pleases—which means a leisurely mid-morning latte followed by a stroll through the Joan Miró exhibition at London’s Tate Modern.

Emma ignores the stares and continues to chat animatedly about Miró’s willingness to take risks with his art. An avid painter herself—“I love it and have a need to do it”—she can talk eloquently about every picture on the wall. Her favorite is The Farm, a painting once owned by Ernest Hemingway that brought the artist his first taste of success outside Spain. What she admires, Emma tells me, is that Miró was both a draftsman and a painter, unafraid to combine these talents to create something that was simultaneously surreal and hyperreal. Emma talks university and deferring to L.A. Times Magazine

Emma has spoken exclusively to L.A. Times Magazine about her decision to defer for a semester and her university experience. The article covers actors and education and how hard it is for young actors to find a balance between their educational and professional careers; it also features some great quotes from Emma about her experiences trying to promote her films and attend Brown University. The whole article can be read here on the L.A. Times website.

Watson opted to attend Brown University — a decision that confounded Hollywood directors and publicists.

“I’ve had to say no to stuff that people have been gobsmacked about. I’ve had big directors say to me, ‘What do you mean, you can’t do this movie? We don’t understand,’” the actress, now 21, said recently by phone from her native England. “I always hear, ‘What do you mean she can’t do this magazine cover?’ or ‘What do you mean she can’t have this meeting for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity?’ And my agent will say, ‘She’s at school, sorry.’

“Yes, it’s hard for me to turn down amazing opportunities. But I’ve been working solidly since I’ve been 9 years old. So for me, to have this space to learn and figure myself out a bit is obviously worth it.”

Transitioning from child star to adult actor never has been easy. But the explosion of kid-oriented entertainment on cable TV and in the movies means more teens than ever are competing to make the leap into adult acting jobs. So opting to take time out for a college degree — never a requirement in Hollywood to begin with — seems increasingly difficult.

[...] Watson is doing that now. She took a semester off from Brown to promote the last “Harry Potter” film, which hits screens in July, and will return to her studies in the fall — though maybe at a different campus, on an exchange program through Brown.

“On the last movie, I flew around on this crazy press tour, and then came back and tried to do my finals,” she recalled. “I wasn’t sleeping. And I realized, ‘Oh, my God, I can’t do this again.’ I wasn’t going to be able to get the best out of being at Brown and do justice to saying goodbye to ‘Harry Potter’ properly.” Read more at the source.
