MagazineShelf have also given us a little bit of a teaser, revealing that Emma will be the “Teen Vogue” covergirl for December 2010/January 2011! We can only assume that her other covers will start appearing around October/November-ish, as “Deathly Hallows” premieres worldwide in November.

My hairdresser was like, ‘When are you going to freak out?’ Most people cry or go into shock,’” she says. “But I was very calm. I knew it was the right thing.” It helped, she said, that she didn’t tell anyone she was getting the drastic ‘do. “I went to the salon alone and I left alone,” she says. “I knew everyone was going to have an opinion, and I couldn’t deal with it. She’s not Hermione anymore. Emma Watson — the 20-year-old actress who has portrayed Harry Potter’s studious BFF, Hermione Granger, in six films over the past decade — has shorn off her character’s long tresses in favor of a short pixie haircut.

“Oh my God, it was the most liberating thing!” she tells EW.com. “The stylist just grabbed the back of my hair and took a whole ponytail of hair out. It felt amazing. I love it.” The chic, gamine cut, created by New York stylist Rodney Cutler of Cutler Salon and seen in this exclusive Polaroid from EW’s upcoming Fall Movie Preview issue, might not seem like a huge deal to most 20-year-olds. But Watson has had to sport essentially the same hairstyle for ten years while she played Hermione.

“I missed all that experimentation that most teenagers go through,” she says. “I’ve wanted to do this since I was about 16, so as soon as I had the chance I was like, ‘Right. This is it.’” Watson, who’s about to enter her sophomore year at Brown University, finished shooting the final two Potter movies this summer — Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 will be released Nov. 19, 2010, and Part 2 next summer, on July 15. source

Also, Emma is not returning as the face of Burberry for next season’s campaign; she is being replaced by former Burberry model and up-and-coming actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. There are currently a few articles which discuss the change but it seems Burberry likes to change it’s spokesperson every two years or so in a bid to appear fresh and mode.

“I would be absolutely crazy if I hadn’t returned to school, because I think it keeps me in contact with reality. And you can’t be a good actress if you’re crazy!” she says, laughing.

When you achieve success, you lose anonymity. And in spite of the fact that she has lived half of her life as a role model, Emma is still not used to it. “I still take the metro. The people look at me and say to each other: ‘Is that the girl from Harry Potter? No, it can’t be, because she’s using public transport.” Read More

Edit! Emma is currently the covergirl for Dolly Magazine in Australia for the August 2010 edition. Looks like they’re using the Sean Cook photoshoot first used in the Daily Mail. We’re not sure what’s included, a new interview perhaps?, but if any loyal follower feels like taking a peek, that would be fabulous! She said: “I think I could imagine having a more ‘normal’ career, but I almost wonder whether people would think that I failed if I did that.”

However, Emma does believe fame has a huge buzz which is hard to match. She revealed in an interview with Vanity Fair magazine: “You get these massive highs. It’s like you sort of have a stage of hundreds of hundreds of people at a movie premiere, and it’s lights going off everywhere, and you don’t have a second to think, and you have a million people doing everything for you because you’re so busy trying to do whatever. And you go from this hyper-intenseness, and then you’ll finish your movie, and it’ll just stop. Or you’ll go to your hotel room and there will just be silence. And I can’t explain it, but it freaks you out.” source

“I’m juggling two parents, juggling between two different lives – I just felt like I had been ripped in a million pieces. I had a bit of a freak out.” on the time around the start of her A-levels.

“Her acting teacher, Thom Jones, told her she wasn’t breathing properly. ‘He said ‘I’m surprised you’re able to function in your daily life, the amount of oxygen you take in is so small.’ I was like, Oh God, that’s terrible”

She had a crush on Tom Felton and would check her call sheet every morning to see if they had scenes together.

The ‘Harry Potter’ actress – who plays class swot Hermione Granger in the movie franchise – can always rely on her co-star to make her feel better when she’s feeling down.

She told Vanity Fair magazine: “At the end of the day, when something goes badly, he’s the one I turn to and talk it over with.”

However, she does admit Daniel, who plays Harry, has his faults, saying: “Some of the most interesting conversations I’ve had have been with him. Daniel is incredibly articulate. but he doesn’t budge, so it drives me crazy. I’ll be stumbling into the trailer in the morning, and he’ll be playing something just very loud and abrasive.” source
