Wednesday August 25th 2010 in People Tree's Autumn/Winter Campaign for 2010.
After a successful stint as creative consultant for People Tree's "Love from Emma" range, Emma returned as the face of People Tree for their autumn/winter campaign. While she did not play an active role in the design and style of clothing, she did participate in promotion around Dhaka, Bangladesh; Emma not only toured the slums of the workers, but also helped in the manufacture of some clothing, gave out food packages to the children of Dhaka and even helped in one of the primary schools as a tutor!

New “Deathly Hallows” photos released in October edition of Empire Magazine
And the the media frenzy begins! Prior to the release of their “The Long Goodbye” feature to “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1″, Empire Magazine have decided to tease us with a cover full of new pictures and a few promotional stills – one including the trio sitting down and chatting to Scrimgeour (played by none other than the famous Brit actor, Bill Nighy!). The new still can be seen here, while the cover can be seen here.
The feature is set to hit newsstands across America the UK? on Thursday the 2nd September! If anyone would be able to snag scans and forward them onto us, much would be appreciated!
We also ventured down to Leavesden Studio to talk to Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson and find out how they’re dealing with the end of an era and the gruelling two-film shoot. And if that’s not enough, here’s some exclusive new Deathly Hallows stills to whet your appetite – with what we think is a first look at Bill Nighy’s Rufus Scrimgeour in action (as opposed to a character shot). New Emma interview from Sky Movies HD
Emma is featured as the cover girl for the September/October edition of Sky Movies HD magazine; the magazine chose to use last year’s Sean Cook shoot for “The Daily Mail” for this issue, and have pair the gorgeous shoot with, what appears to be, a brand new interview with Emma from the set of “Deathly Hallows”! The article also talks of subsequent interviews with Rupert and Dan but we couldn’t find them; scans from the magazine can be seen here, or you could follow the previews below for more!
The Emma article and interview have also been transcribed and added into the press archives.
What do you like about Hermione?
She’s got a heart of gold. She’s the first person to sympathise with anyone in opposition to her. She’s so determined, loyal and she’s such a strong girl … woman! She’s the ultimate girl. When did you find time to study?
It’s something I really wanted for myself. If you want something enough, you make time to do it. I’d do most of my reading when I was sat in the make-up truck. I’d sit and write and I’d have my laptop on my lap and I worked weekends. It was exhausting. But it’s so worth it, I’m so proud. Read more?
And an added bonus goodie – we’ve added high quality additions from last year’s Nick Knight photoshoot Emma did for “Interview” magazine. Previously, this shoot was only available in medium quality in our galleries. You can also check those out in the galleries, or follow the previews below.
High quality “100 Days Til ‘Deathly Hallows’” appearance photos!
As you may remember, following the big oh-my-goshies-she-cut-her-hair debacle, Emma was the face of a WB. sponsored competition which could see 100 lucky Potter fans winning tickets to the premiere in London! You may also recall that we uploaded four medium quality images; well, we’ve not only found those pictures in glorious high quality, but also have added another cute shot of Emma with the tickets!
Six high quality photos have been added into our galleries! You can either follow the link or, alternatively, follow the previews below!
Keep checkin’ back – we’ve also got high resolution, untagged People Tree autumn/winter promotionals coming up!
New promotional images from “Deathly Hallows”
A few new scan-y promotional images featuring Emma Watson as Hermione have been released in a Brazilian edition of a movie companion book. They’ve been added into our galleries, or you could follow the previews below for more.
The new images feature the Trio at Grimmauld Place looking out a window; a better quality version of a previously released Ron/Hermione photo in the Trio’s tent; and a brand new promotional photo of Hermione with Salazar Slytherin’s locket looking understandably anxious and pensieve.
Emma has also updated her official Facebook page with a little update about her return to London to see family and friends before jetting off to Providence to start her second year at Brown University!
Hi everyone, just back from an amazing holiday with my family. So nice just to chill out in the sunshine… Now I’m back in London for a quick turnaround before flying to the US ready for the start of term. Can’t wait! Hope you’re all ok x source
People Tree release more promos, plus video from Emma in Bangladesh!
Thanks to Snitch Seeker and Emma-Watson.net for the following news!
People Tree have finally released an initial press release for their upcoming autumn/winter 2010 line which was overseen and endorsed by none other than Emma Watson herself! Releasing not only a handful of promotional photos and an interview, People Tree have also released a video featuring Emma in Bangladesh, checking out the working and living conditions of the hardworking People Tree employees, as well as doing a humanitarian bit and distributing food to needy children, helping them in their schools and also, roughing it out in the Bangali workshops and also helping out briefly with the manufacture of her clothes line. Unlike the previous People Tree line, this campaign was not designed by Emma, but it is endorsed by her!
You can check out the video below; plus, we’ve added screen captures into our galleries. A few stills of Emma promoting in Bangladesh have also been added, thanks to People Tree. (Due to uploading errors, only one-third of the screen captures were added. We’re working to fix this up, don’t you worry!)
In the meantime don’t forget to check out the latest range by People Tree which is endorsed by Emma.
As well the video, People Tree have also released some brand new photos of Emma modelling her favourite pieces from this season’s line, plus a brand new message and brief interview with Emma about the line, plus her thoughts on her trip to Bangladesh and how it impacted upon her as a creative consultant, a celebrity and most importantly, as a humanitarian.
Although I wasn’t centrally involved in the design of this collection, I had great fun in helping Safia select some gorgeous Fair Trade textiles – a dogtooth hand woven check, cable knits, soft organic jerseys and the first Fair Trade hand woven brushed checked fabric which has been made into easy tulip skirts, dresses and shirts. I wasn’t sure what to expect when we arrived in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. I was expecting it to ber very busy, and hot, but the first thing that really struck me was the noise, and the traffic! Our journey from the airpoort was unlike anything I have ever experienced: no one sticks to the lanes; everyone constantly beeps their horns and generally ignores traffic lights! Soon after arriving we visited the slums in Dhaka where the garment factory workers live. Again, I had some preconceived ideas but nothing prepared me for the reality. It was upsetting to see the conditions in which these people live, but I was incredibly moved by their spirit and friendliness in spite of such apparent adversity. Read more?
Another sneak peek at “Love from Emma” for People Tree’s Autumn/Winter line!
Continuing on from yesterday’s post another promotional item from Emma’s second ethical fashion line for People Tree has been released, via Vogue.co.uk. You can view it (and other related promotionals) here, in the galleries.
EMMA WATSON’S People Tree collection will make its catwalk debut this September – not at London Fashion Week but at The Prince of Wales’ eco festival, A Garden Party To Make A Difference.
The fashion show of the actress’ spring/summer 2011 collection will take place on September 12 at 3.30pm and will be held in the historic Friary Court of St James’ Palace.
Watson created her first collection for the Fair Trade and organic clothing label last year, frustrated by the lack of clothing aimed at people her age. Source
As we reported yesterday Emma’s new line will debut at Prince Charles’ “A Garden Party to Make a Difference”; unfortunately, due to school commitments, Emma will be unable to make it to the party but she has recorded a little message for the attendees in lieu of attendance. The fashion show (and assumedly, the recording) will be held on September 12 at 3.30pm at the Friary Court of St James’ Palace. We’ll report back with more when more information becomes available.
In ‘Potter’-related news, yesterday’s “Deathly Hallows” still has been replaced with high quality, so check that out! Also, only 90-odd days to go until “Deathly Hallows” hits our screens!
First look at Emma from the People Tree “Love From Emma” Autumn/Winter Campaign!
Once again thanks to Snitch Seeker we’ve gotten wind of some brand new Emma news, this time from her collaboration with the ethical, fair trade company People Tree! As you may recall Emma spent the beginning of this year promoting and releasing her ethical fashion line online and now she’s back with People Tree for her Autumn/Winter campaign. This seems to be connected to Emma’s recent trip to Bangladesh where she met with factory workers, head honchos and the founders of People Tree to discuss other matters – in this case, the new line!
The first promotional image for the new campaign has been released featuring Emma all rugged up in a cutesy knitted coat and a stripy shirt; This is London released the mini-press release stating that the clothing is to be exhibited and unveiled at Prince Charles’s Garden Party To Make A Difference. Unfortunately due to studying conflicts Emma is unlikely to go, however she has made a recording which will air during the party.
Her autumn-winter designs will be unveiled next week, with Watson giving the first exclusive preview here, right. But visitors to the Prince’s eco-fest will get the chance to see what will be in the shops next spring.
Watson said: “I’m so thrilled that People Tree will be showing the spring-summer collection at the garden party. I think the Prince of Wales’s initiative is such a brilliant idea and I’m thrilled.” Source
Hopefully some new material will be released soon!
