Following up from our previous post, after the premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival Emma also appeared at the after party, hosted by vitaminwater. Emma looked adorable, decked out in the same outfit from the premiere, and had some fun with “Perks”-related quotes and chatting to the party attendees – one of which was Jared Eng from Just Jared!

Emma wore a navy and white flowery print Erdem dress with simple black pumps; also, check out the her hair do – so pretty! Details and close-ups of the dress can be seen here, here, here and here; a close-up of her hair can be seen here.

The “Perks” crew have been hard at work promoting the movie at TIFF and have sat down with media and journalists from all over the world in the past two days. The “Perks” crew will continue their promotional tour after TIFF and the Los Angeles premiere of the film will be on September 10 – unfortunately, Emma’s reps have confirmed that Emma will not be in attendance at the Los Angeles premiere. She will, hopefully, maintain her upcoming television appearances – she’ll be on ‘Anderson Live!’ (date still unconfirmed), ‘Live with Kelly!’ on September 13 and on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ on September 13.
In the excitement between Emma’s appearances on ‘The Late Show with David Letterman’ and at the MTV Video Music Awards 2012, as well as Emma’s upcoming promotional stint in Toronto, we’ve finally, scans from Emma’s gorgeous feature in ‘Glamour UK’ have been added to the galleries!

When Emma Watson turned 18, Karl Lagerfeld sent her a Chanel fly-fishing rod as a birthday present. “It was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen,” she laughs. “It’s actually my dad who’s the fly-fisher in the family, but it was so sweet that Karl had obviously done some research, seen that I’d once donated to The Wild Trout Trust or something similar and thought that this would be something that I would love. I’ve never used it but it’s such a beautiful object – one of the best things I’ve ever been sent.”
You’d except a girl who gets sent Chanel rods from Karl -a child star who’s been part of the highest-grossing movie franchise in history for the past 12 years and spent the past three juggling Burberry campaigns with Hollywood Movies – to be spoilt and messed up. Emma Watson is neither. Softly spoken and introspective, the 22-year-old Harry Potter actress has clung to normality by her fingernails. “I won’t lie to you – it’s not been easy,” she smiles. “Celebrity is definitely the hardest part of what I do. But you just have to hope that people look past all that – past the overblown hyper the industry -and see you.” When a mere haircut provokes double-page spreads in broadsheets, every outfit is dissected in fashion magazines and every man you’re pictured with is a ‘boyfriend’, that’s not easily done.

This month’s edition of ‘Vanity Fair’ magazine includes a spotlight on “The Perks of Being a Wallflower”! Accompanying the brief blurb on the synopsis of the film is a brand new photoshoot image of the main three of “Perks” – Emma, Logan and Ezra – shot by renowned photographer, Ellen von Unwerth. Although only a tiny preview image was available on the official Vanity Fair website, a larger, clearer photo has been uploaded.
The Vanity Fair website also promises a behind the scenes video of the shoot but that hasn’t been uploaded yet. Video can be seen here on our Youtube page! Emma, Logan and Ezra are so much fun together!
What is it about the Smiths that makes the melancholic 80s band something of a Bat Signal for cultured and cute vintage-wearing dream girls? In writer-director Stephen Chbosky’s new The Perks of Being a Wallflower, a wonderful film based on Chbosky’s own novel, the pixieish, Smiths-adoring love interest, Sam, is played by Emma Watson, in her first significant post-Hermione role. Sam’s suitor, Charlie, is played by Logan Lerman. Perhaps inevitably, he is a clinically depressed introvert who befriends Sam and her punky stepbrother, Patrick—the inestimable Ezra Miller—at a high-school football game. Charlie and Sam soon reveal their shared love of British glum-pop, including the Smiths’ “Asleep,” which is ironic, or appropriate, because the film details how Charlie finally wakes up thanks to Sam’s tender, nonjudgmental companionship. The metaphor is not as heavy-handed as it sounds.
If Hollywood were a high-school cafeteria—a tremendous stretch of the imagination!—the three young leads would most certainly sit at the center of the cool table. Watson and Lerman will next star in Darren Aronofsky’s big-screen adaptation of Genesis chapters 6 to 9, Noah, while Miller will play opposite Mia Wasikowska in Madame Bovary, providing an even greater service to teenagers than showcasing the triumph of the loner: giving them a way around reading Madame Bovary.
Emma Watson and “Perks” co-star, Ezra Miller, were both in attendance at this afternoon’s red carpet for the MTV Music Video Awards 2012. Emma wore at a extremely colourful Peter Pilotto knit dress with lace up Tom Ford heels. The pair also graced the stage with their prescence and introduced punk-rock band Green Day. First couple of photos have been added to the galleries – keep checking back for more updates!
Edit! We’ve passed the 60 image mark – all high quality! Big thank you to Luciana from Jessica Chastain Network, Mr Cavill and Kirsten Dunst Online for donating a lot of these photos, including the ones of Emma and Ezra presenting! Please visit her fantastic sites as a way of saying thank you for her donations. :)
Wow. Not only is Emma the October cover girl for ‘Glamour UK’, but she’s also the October cover girl for ‘Glamour US’! Both the UK and US have brand new photoshoots – UK by Vincent Peters, the US by Alexei Hay – and, assumedly, two different interviews! While only a preview of the UK cover and a photoshoot image have been released, a whole set of scans has been found for the US edition.
Transcript coming soon Transcript available right here – in the meantime, check out the grungy new photoshoot by Alexei Hay! In the interview, Emma talks about her current girl crushes – the lovely and awesome Carey Mulligan and Emma Stone – dating through the ages, her hair and future roles, her fear of typcasting, “Perks”, romantic comedies and being “the nerdy one” growing up.
Emma with an Edge
Little Hermione is all grown up and showing off her sexy side in her first post-Potter leading role. Now Watson talks to Glamour about her life, her hair, her dating rules, and all those “hot bods” in Hollywood.
Emma Watson is just so cute. She’s got that little face and that artfully messy hair, and she’s wearing the sweetest white summer dress you’ve ever seen. But when she starts speaking over breakfast at the Carlyle hotel in New York City, it becomes very clear that our old friend Hermione is anything but childlike: Watson is smart and funny and passionate about becoming an actress with a capital A. Her first starring role after Harry Potter, as a wild child in this month’s teen drama The Perks of Being a Wallflower, was a conscious break from her wizard alter ego; at the same time, she’s becoming known in the fashion world as a risk taker, favouring up-and-coming English designers she’s discovered through her own research. Glamour sat down with the 22-year-old native Brit, who’s living in New York while filming Darren Aronofsky’s Noah, to discuss her plans to return to Brown University and her desire to do a (well-written!) rom-rom.
And it seems all the actresses who are truly successful do look like individuals.
I feel like if you’re distracted by how beautifully toned someone’s arms are, then you’re not really being drawn into their performance. You’re just thinking about that hot bod! I think Carey Mulligan is amazing. She’s a huge girl crush of mine. And also Emma Stone. People love them because they’re real and they embrace it.
By the way, I see you’re growing out your hair.
I have to for roles. But if I had it my way, I would have just kept it short forever. Of course, men like long hair. There’s no two ways about it. The majority of boys around me are like, “Why did you do that? That’s such an error.” And I was like, “Well, honestly, I don’t care what you think!” I’ve never felt so confident as I did with short hair – I felt really good in my own skin.

A couple of days ago, the editor of ‘Glamour UK’ revealed that the October issue of the magazine would feature Emma Watson to kick off upcoming “Perks” promotions. The gorgeous cover and a new photoshoot image, by Vincent Peters, was revealed this morning by The Telegraph. A new interview with Emma – in which she talks “love, fashion and body confidence” – will also be published in the magazine.
You can view the first photo, the cover, and a tidbit from the interview below.
Emma Watson names her all-time favourite outfits
Unsurprisingly, Emma Watson’s stepmother’s cast-offs aren’t amongst her favourite red carpet looks, but read on to find out which are.
Barely-teen starlets Chloe Moretz, Hailee Steinfeld and Kiernan Shipka might have made wearing school uniform one day and Chanel Haute Couture the next de rigueur for the five-foot-and-under population in Hollywood, but that hasn’t always been the case.
It’s no secret that when an young Emma Watson promoted the Harry Potter films which have brought her huge wealth and fortune, she used to rely on her stepmother’s cast-offs to tread the red carpet. Undoubtedly style lows, the actress has now admitted that wearing “things that were just far too big for me too” are also up their on her ‘rather forget’ list.
So what is worth celebrating about her now very grown-up wardrobe, which includes elegant and occasionally risqué numbers by Valentino, Burberry and Marchesa?
“My all-time favourites are probably the white Alexander McQueen dress I wore to the Empire Awards and the vintage Ossie Clark dress I found in a shop around the corner from my house…” the 22-year-old tells the new issue of Glamour , which she covers to promote her new film, The Perks of Being a Wallflower .
Unlike the aforementioned Steinfelds and Shipkas, Watson was the ripe old age of 18 when she debuted in said McQueen, wowing the crowds at The National Movie Awards in London in a romantic white gown with draped sleeves and a silver, crystal-embellished bust. And as for the grey, plunging neckline Ossie Clark gown she wore to the Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince premiere in London’s Leicester Square in 2009, we’re glad to hear the memories sustained from that evening are good ones; torrential rain and a gust of wind revealed her flesh-coloured undergarments to the world.
Luckily, Watson has taken it all in her rather down-to-earth stride: “it helps that I’ve accepted my body shape more as I’ve got older” she concludes.
