Officially Emma
Although previously shunning social networking sites, Emma has recently adopted means to communicate with her fans while she travels around the world, studies at Brown University and generally lives life as a regular girl-next-door.
Please note that while Emma does have all these places to communicate with fans she does deserve that her fans respect her privacy and that a healthy boundary between 'Emma-the-actress' and 'Emma-the-girl' should be maintained!

The first clip from “My Week With Marilyn” featuring Emma Watson as Lucy the wardrobe girl has been released. In it, Colin Clark (played by Eddie Redmayne) persistently seeks out Lucy and asks her out; after a few flimsy excuses, Lucy finally agrees to Colin’s date. The clip can be viewed below (clearer clip thanks to Damian-Lewis.com!).
Also, two dozen new high quality photos of Emma at the London premiere of “My Week With Marilyn” have been added into the galleries. Aaaaaaaand that brings out high quality total for the evening up to 206! I don’t know about you guys, but I think that’s just enough, no?
More from the behind-the-scenes of “My Week With Marilyn”
And with the movie coming out in a few days, more and more “My Week With Marilyn” features and behind-the-scenes videos are starting to be released. One new video, which you can see here, features interviews with the cast and crew of “My Week With Marilyn”, as well as new scenes and clips from the movie. The video has new shots of Emma Watson as Lucy sharing an intimate moment with Colin Clark (Eddie Redmayne).
Quotes, interviews and whatnots from the “My Week With Marilyn” London Premiere
A couple of nights ago, Emma attended the London premiere of “My Week With Marilyn” and lots of the international media were in attendance. As such, we’ve got a whole heap of interview tidbits and from the red carpet with lots of new Emma quotes about acting, Oxford, future projects and much more! Emma confirms in her People.com red carpet interview that she has projects (emphasis on the plural!) in the works but cannot talk about them as of yet.
In related news, the head costume designer on the set of “My Week With Marilyn” spoke recently to Instyle.co.uk about her project; in the interview, she talks about her inspiration for Lucy’s (Emma’s character) wardrobe and how she came about creating it.
“I’m studying and really excited about my next projects,” she said. “I can’t really talk about them right now, but I am going to try and fit in some film projects next year in between school.”
In My Week with Marilyn, which stars Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe, Watson plays Monroe’s wardrobe assistant, Lucy. After the Harry Potter films, she was thrilled to take a role that wasn’t quite as high profile.
“I loved it,” she said. “It was less pressure, but at the same time it was an interesting role, although it was a small role. I loved the script and loved the story, and I’m very interested in Marilyn, so I really wanted to do it.”
And Emma Watson’s character comes across as slightly naïve but fashion conscious. How did you go about defining her character through costume?
I’d found, in my research, an original cast and crew photograph of The Prince and the Showgirl. Emma was based on a real character and so there was a girl, or a couple of girls, that we could have chosen [from the photograph] so I just picked up on one girl and I based Emma on her because she feasibly could’ve been her. She was wearing a tartan dress, so I found Emma an original tartan dress – all of Emma’s clothes were vintage. I also wanted to introduce a touch of the American influence with Emma because the youth culture was just hitting at that period and we had Jimmy Dean, Marlon Brando, Sandra Dee. I wanted to pick up on that Sandra Dee type of character. Read more at the source.
Two new “My Week With Marilyn” promos with new Emma scenes
The Weinstein Company have teamed up with Katy Perry and released a couple of promotional mash-ups featuring scenes from the “My Week With Marilyn” movie set to Katy Perry’s new song, “The One That Got Away”. Amongst the barrage of new clips of Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe and Eddie Redmayne as Colin Clark, there are blink-and-you’ll-miss-it shots of Emma as Lucy, the wardrobe girl. Included in the new footage: Lucy and Colin dancing while on their date; Lucy walking down the road in a yellow cardigan; an extended look at Lucy’s jealousy fused tirade; and an interrupted date scene between Lucy and Colin.
Bits of behind-the-scenes goodies from the DVD of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2″ are beginning to appear online. One particular video, namely this one, features the Maximum Movie Mode accessible in the Blu-Ray editions and goes indepth into the Ron/Hermione kiss. In the video, Rupert, Emma and David Heyman talk about the lead-up to the kiss and the relationship between the two; towards the end of the clip, Emma narrates the kiss between Ron and Hermione.
“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2″ is set to be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on 11 November in the U.S. and then on 16 November everywhere else (excluding the U.K., which will get the DVDs on the shelves on 2 December).
B-Roll footage and Emma’s interview from “My Week With Marilyn”
A six minute long video featuring b-roll footage from “My Week With Marilyn” has been released. There’s lots and lots of behind-the-scenes goodies and the video itself gives us a glimpse at the overall process of making a scene. Emma is featured, along with Eddie Redmayne, about four minutes into the video – we see the pair dining, talking and dancing at a restaurant.
Another “My Week With Marilyn”-related video was also released, this time featuring Emma, in costume as Lucy, talking about what attracted her to the script, the character of ‘Lucy’, on Michelle Williams as the iconic Marilyn Monroe and what she believes audiences will enjoy the most from the film. Check out the entire interview here on our Youtube page.
Oh, and many of you have let us know that the galleries are down: thank you for your notice; there was a server crash and we’re working with our host to get things resolved as smoothly as possible with as few photo absences as possible. :)
