New interviews, plus EWO update!

Sorry for the brief delay, but here’s a news round-up! Over the past two days of not updating, Emma appears to still be in the U.S. (hopefully doing lots and lots of press work!) with several new interviews popping up all over the Internet. Finally, there was confirmation in Emma’s appearance on the ‘Today‘ show in which Emma graciously helped gather donations! Similarly, two new Despereaux-related interviews have sprouted, including the long anticipated ‘This Morning‘ interview plus a brand new interview with Access Hollywood.

To make up for the lateness of this update, I’ve found another Despereaux junket, this time with Canada’s ‘Tribute Movies‘. This is a double whamy – Emma not only talks Despereaux, but also Half Blood Prince! Also up for discussion: Dan in Equus, the character of Pea and scripts.

Also, Jo has updated EWO with a small update on Emma’s fantastic Sunday Times photoshoot from earlier this week. You can check that out here. The update includes the photoshoot in medium quality, but unfortunately tagged.

Waiting for UK press tour, so here’s more from LA!

Firstly, I’ve added four new Tale of Despereaux related videos to our Youtube. Of the four, there is one brand new Emma interview on ‘Tale of Despereaux’ and three videos from the Los Angeles premiere from two days ago. You can check those out here, here, here and here. Also uploaded, a very low quality version of an appearance Emma made on E! Talk Canada during her time in the U.S. to promote Despereaux. Nothing new, just Emma discussing the “romantic comedy” aspect of Half Blood Prince, but it does feature a brand new outfit! Check that out here!

Also, I’ve updated the Los Angeles premiere album once more, adding well over 100 new high qualities to the galleries. There are some absolutely stunning ones in this batch, so don’t forget to check those out here over at ihwmedia.net!

And finally, a dozen or so new articles have been added to the press archives – we just hit our 200th article! There are some very cute articles in there, including one which reveals what Emma would like for Christmas! Also included – Emma’s thoughts on the DH split, Christmas with the Watsons, getting ready for premieres and future script choices! You can view these (and many, many, many more) right here.

“I can’t wait it’ll be so nice to spend time with my family and just veg out a bit,” she said. “I watch the Queen, we have a roast, presents in the morning, stockings, all the usual suspects.” source

She told MTV: “I read the script, and I just loved it. It was so charming. I fell in love with Despereaux, so I really didn’t have a choice. I had to be his princess.” source

“Spending a whole day getting ready is ridiculous,” she tells this week’s Style magazine. “I hate wearing an outfit that looks too put-together and perfect. I choose the things I wear myself because I’m such an OCD control freak.” source

The split didn’t just surprise fans – it was unexpected to the film’s cast as well. When MTV spoke to Emma Watson (read her full Potter-filled interview here), we asked her if she could update us on how the film will be divided. “I don’t know. I am as intrigued as you are. I am waiting at the moment to receive the script. It’s a tough call. I’m sure it will be some cruel cliffhanger.” source

Final clips from ABC Family’s clips, plus new press articles!

EDIT: We have the first photo from the premiere! Emma looks lovely and you can view the high-quality photo over at ihwmedia.net or below! We also have a number of medium-quality images, which you can view here.

I’ve added the final clips from ABC Family’s exclusive sneak peek onto our Youtube. You can check those out here, here, here and here. Emma does not appear in features number three and four.

Also, ‘Tale of Despereaux’ promotion is in full swing with three new articles appearing online. They’ve all been added to our press archives. In particular, this article should be of definate interest as Emma mentions being attached to “Napoleon and Betsy” – however, until there is further confirmation (ie. from Emma herself on EWO), this remains a rumour.

“The truth is, I’m not very cool,” she shrugs. She’s not really into stepping out of line — she has never been tempted to date Daniel or Rupert, for example. “The public are desperate for it,” she rolls her eyes. “It would literally be like [a royal marriage]. Luckily, luckily . . . It would be such a nightmare.” She believes in love at first sight, but won’t be drawn on the boy she’s dating at the moment. I suspect he is a “civilian” from among her Oxford friends — she has, in the past, dated someone from a local boys’ school. Is she in love? “I don’t know,” she says, before going a bright shade of cerise. source

I want when people look back on my career for them to not be able to put me in a box and say, “She always played this kind of role.” I want to do everything. I would love to be in a musical. I want to sing. I want to do a crazy Baz Luhrmann “Moulin Rouge!” sort of thing. I’d love to do a period piece. I’d love to do a French film. There are so many options out there! source

Emma jumped at the chance to play the lonely princess, her first cartoon voice, and recorded her part over a three-year period, a few days at a time. Until she got the hang of it, “I was a bit nervous,” she admits. “But it was really fun, and I’m massively proud of it.” source

I’ve also added a brand new photoshoot-y picture to the gallery from the Scholastic interview. It’s only very small but it was just too pretty to go astray! You can view the image right here. There’s also a new gorgeous picture from the Sunday Times Online interview and you can see it in the gallery here!

EDIT: Thanks to Emma-Watson.net, we have scans of the Sunday Times article! If anyone has their own copy and could send in some scans especially for our site, that would be extremely appreciated. For now, enjoy these, courtesy of E-W.net contributer Laura!

Photos from the Tale of Desperaux premiere in L.A. should be showing up online in a few hours, keep your eyes peeled!

As previously reported, Emma appeared on the BBC program ‘Blue Peter’ briefly. Thanks to Youtube user Gryffprefect, we now have access to Emma’s appearance on the BBC – click here to view the segment. The outfit seems to be the same outfit she wore to the TAR Magazine Party. The segment features a very cute interview, in which Emma discusses ‘Tale of Despereaux’, animation, the mouse in her kitchen and helps the hosts make some Christmas decorations!

Also, according to this site, Emma is ‘confirmed’ to attend the ‘Tale of Despereaux’ premiere on Sunday 7th December 2008. Celebrities are set to begin arriving at 1PM at ArcLight Hollywood Cinema.

The Telegraph has posted an short, exclusive clip from the upcoming movie ‘Tale of Despereaux’ – you can view the clip and the short article here. Unfortunately, there is no Emma as Princess Pea footage.

It is one of Watson’s first roles since filming the Harry Potter adaptations. Watson, who is currently applying to university, still has two films from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows left to make. source

‘Emma Watson Lights up Dark’

Emma’s attended a brand new event – the European premiere of the theatre production of In A Dark Dark House. Sporting leather pants and a beige camisole and cardigan, Emma was one of the many stars to attend the opening evening. Thanks to Celebutopia I’ve added five high qualities into the galleries.

The European premiere of Neil LaBute’s In a Dark Dark House was leant some A-list glamour last night (27 November 2008, previews from 20 November) by the presence of Harry Potter star Emma Watson (pictured), who was joined at the Almeida theatre by fellow actors including Jonathan Pryce, Hayley Mills and John Hannah. source

What’s on Stage also has a couple of pictures of Emma at the after party, but they’re hideously tagged. You can check those out here and here.

Also, according to this site Emma will be appearing on the BBC program ‘Blue Peter’ on December 3rd 2008. We’ll keep you updated as pictures and videos become available. Emma’s animated flick ‘The Tale of Despereaux’ is set to premiere in L.A. on Sunday December 7th 2008 at approximately 1pm at ArcLight (behind the Cinerama Dome) – the assumption is that Emma will be in attendance.

EDIT: Thanks to ohnotheydidnt, we have an adorable “Tale of Desperaux” video featuring real-life Emma. You can check it out on YouTube here or download it from RapidShare, thanks to Emma-Watson.net, here. Enjoy!

EDIT: Emma attended the Año Uña premiere today and we’re collecting images as we speak! Check out ohnotheydidnt for the news in the meantime.
