MTV have just updated their website stating that Emma will be “on hand at the MTV Movie Awards” to present an exclusive clip for “Deathly Hallows: Part 2″. Whether Emma will be physically there is still being debated but we’ll be sure to keep you guys updated as the news comes in. We’re hoping with Emma’s inclusion on the official presenters list means she’ll be at the show, but we’ll have to see.

Emma will be in attendance at the show and is set to present with co-star Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy). She is currently nominated in four categories: ‘Best Movie‘, ‘Best Female Performance‘, ‘Best Kiss‘ and ‘Best Fight‘.

Tom Felton has also been confirmed as attending; unfortunately, due to Broadway commitments, Dan is unable to attend. Voting for the awards is still ongoing, so if you’re in a voting mood get on that.

The MTV Movie Awards 2011 will be held at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, California on Sunday June 5th.

MTV sat down with Emma’s new co-star, Logan Lerman, and chatted about the upcoming production of “Perks of Being a Wallflower” and his excitement at acting alongside Emma; Logan has met Emma, we’re assuming for test screenings or script run-throughs, and is very excited to begin filming. Logan also mentions that shooting will start next month in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

“It’s definitely happening, we’re shooting that soon,” Logan assured us, when asked about the film’s production status. “We’re starting in a month now, so I’m excited. [Emma and I] haven’t worked together [before], but we met up and everything,” he said.

Logan added that everyone involved with the film is very attached to the book as well.

“We’re all really passionate about that movie. It’s a book that’s affected us all,” he said. “The story is ‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower,’ it’s a book that we’ve all known, Emma and I, some other people, it’s really affected us since it came out. I read it years ago. It’s an honor to be in that film and to be able to portray Charlie.”

Although an official start date is unknown, the shooting location isn’t.

“We’re shooting in Pennsylvania,” Logan said. “I’m not sure the exact start date, but it should be a month from now or so, and I’m excited.” Read more?

News roundup – in list form!

Emma news has been a little scarce lately with “Potter” promos over but she has appeared in news tidbits around the world! I, for one, love lists and so we have a little news update featuring lists! It’s sure to be exciting, believe me. Please do not hesitate to email us news, tidbits, random photos and videos – we love all the contributions we receive and really makes our site ‘run by fans, for fans’. Fun fact: we’re turning FOUR soon so we’ll be cooking up some goodies to celebrate.

• Ciarán Hinds, the Irish actor who has been cast as the eclectic and misunderstood Aberforth Dumbledore, has spoken briefly about his time on the “Potter” set. He spoke on his interaction with the main Potter trio and their professionalism and acting maturity on set. These sure are powerful accolades for Dan, Rupert and Emma and really add depth to the intensity of the shoot.

“It was surreal to be in a room with those three kids, all of whom know exactly what they’re doing. And then there’s you, who has been around for a long time, and they’re the ones putting you at ease and making sure you know what you’re doing on set. It was bizarre. But it was also really interesting to see things from that perspective. With every job, you’re typically looking for the director to make sure you’re doing the right thing but with Emma, Rupert and Daniel, that has become part of their psyche.”

“They’ve been doing that job so long, they have such ease and an instant connection with it, and a real truthfulness.”

“Emma was starting university in America and that was made clear for the deadline of the films. They had to shoot round people’s availability. They were all committed to other things. It had to be a nightmare trying to get the schedules drawn up.”

• MTV have also featured a couple of news articles on “Deathly Hallows”, listing Hermione as the winner in their ‘10 Best Movie Witches‘ list and the ‘30 Most Exciting Films for 2011‘. Here’s what MTV said about the second part:

Although the “Harry Potter” novels have been finished for years, fans of J.K. Rowling’s beloved fantasy series have been putting off the mourning period until the final movie arrives in theaters. Well, that time is almost upon us, but the tears can wait — for now, we can’t wait to see what director David Yates has cooked up with his interpretation of the final “Harry Potter” story of all time.

• Awards season is drawing closer and “Deathly Hallows: Part 1″ has drawn in it’s fair share of awards nominations. It’s currently on the BAFTA longlist for eight awards – ‘Make Up & Hair’, ‘Editing’, ‘Special Visual Effects’, ‘Costume Design’, ‘Sound’, ‘Production Design’, ‘Cinematography’ and ‘Original Music’ – as well as being shortlisted for the 2011 Academy Awards for ‘Best Visual Effects’!

• And something for you Ron/Hermione fans – our favourite Sidekickers, Ron and Hermione, have come up trumps in Forbes’ ‘Highest Grossing On-Screen Couple‘, grossing over $US9.3 billion worldwide! They beat out “Lord of the Rings” couple Aragon and Arwen, “Pirates of the Carribean” couple Elizabeth Swan and Will Turner and “Titanic” Jack and Rose.

Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, who play Hermione and Ron in the ‘Harry Potter’ films, top Forbes’ list of the highest-grossing on-screen couples of the past 10 years, as the hit fantasy film franchise has pulled in $6.3 billion worldwide.

Stay tuned for more updates and two picspams to make up for our shameful two-month lag!

Emma and Dan talk to Scholastic about “Deathly Hallows”

Scolastic.com have recently released a brand new interview with Dan and Emma about “Deathly Hallows”. They talk to Scholastic in a lenghty interview about the ups and downs of the first part of “Deathly Hallows”, their favourite characters, their chosen souveneirs from set and we get a bit of information on Emma’s dinner party for the stars!

Q: Emma, how would you describe Daniel and Rupert when you first met them and at the end of the series?
Emma: It’s funny. It started out that Dan and I were the shy ones and Rupert was the talkative one, and then we seemed to swap. Rupert hardly speaks. You’re lucky to get anything out of him these days, and then Dan and I do a lot more of the talking. Dan is really intelligent and very sweet, and Rupert just has a wicked sense of humor and he’s very eccentric and very unique in the way that he does things. He’s like a big kid. I feel like he’ll never grow up, which I love.

Q: Are there any souvenirs you took from the set?
Emma: Yeah, I took my wand, and I took my time turner, and I took a cloak, and that was about it really.

Q: In Deathly Hallows, what does being on the run do to Hermione, Ron, and Harry’s friendship? Did you use your own life experiences to act?
Emma: I definitely think the kind of pressure that the three of them are under because they’re on the run, and the fear and the anxiety has an effect on their friendship. Ron particularly becomes very irritable, and Harry and Ron actually end up having a big fight, so Hermione is trying to keep everyone calm and together. So, Hermione is pretty crucial in all of that, but it definitely takes a toll on their friendship. Yeah, I use my life experience and my experience with friends and friendships in my acting. Definitely. Definitely. When I’m acting with Harry, I always pretend he’s my younger brother Alex, who’s 17, because I feel like Hermione has that kind of sisterly or maternal relationship with Harry. Read more …
