Although previously shunning social networking sites, Emma has recently adopted means to communicate with her fans while she travels around the world, studies at Brown University and generally lives life as a regular girl-next-door.
Please note that while Emma does have all these places to communicate with fans she does deserve that her fans respect her privacy and that a healthy boundary between 'Emma-the-actress' and 'Emma-the-girl' should be maintained!

LancômeFrance on Facebook have released four new behind-the-scenes photos from Emma’s photoshoot for the lipstick range, ‘Rouge in Love’. The photos feature Emma posing in front of and doodling on a mirror. You can check them out here in the photo galleries or follow the preview below to see more.
In other Lancôme-related news, a new short advert for ‘Blanc Expert’ has popped up in South Korea. It’s been uploaded onto Youtube; there are a couple of new shots of Emma posing for Mario Testino in the short clip.
Edit! An English version of the advertisement has been added, thanks to LancômeSingapore.
First up, huge apologies to all the visitors for these drastically late updates. However, never fear, we are back in business and we’re working towards something new for our fifth year anniversary online. But enough with the excuses and random teasing, onwards with the news!
As well as all these new photos, new information relating to Emma’s upcoming video campaign for ‘Rouge in Love’ was also released by PurePeople.com and AuFeminin.com, including these few tidbits translated by Watson Uncensored.
The ‘Rouge in Love’ campaign will air formally in February, with the video expected to become available from 1 February 2012, the photoshoot on 3 February 2012 and the actual products launched on either 6 February 2012 or 14 February 2012 (kudos once again to Watson Uncensored for the information).
About the film for Rouge In Love for Lancôme, 2 French sites gave more informations about it.
We already know that it was filmed by Adria Petty (who filmed Beyonce’s music video ‘Countdown’). Now we know that the music will be by the French duo Brigitte called ‘Oh La La’ (music video below).
The 60-seconds film is described as “very arty”, “ultra glamour”, “pop”, and “acid”.
The background of the film will be very urban (London, New York, Paris). The lips will become tinged with red, rose, and violet and will sing a re-written version of ‘Oh La La’.
A new interview, featuring a brand new outfit!, has come online recently. The interview was held while Emma was in Hong Kong promoting Lancôme earlier this month. You can check out the video here on Youtube. In it, Emma talks about her daily beauty routine, her favourite Lancôme products and using fashion as a self-esteem booster. Emma also wishes her Hong Kong fans a very Merry Christmas and a great new year.
“Hi Channel Young! I’m Emma Watson. I’m here today for Lancôme and I hope you’re having a great, great Christmas and wonderful celebrations. Thank you so much!”
“Yeah, I’m usually in a rush so I try and do everything quite quickly, but I don’t like the feeling of wearing too much stuff on my face. I think that’s one of the good things about Lancôme products, they don’t feel too heavy, they have a very light textures, they’re very breathable, and I’m always very careful about wearing sun protection and very, very careful about taking make-up off at night. Those are the main things I’m really, really careful about.”
“During the day I don’t wear too much but if I’m going out at night I’ll wear a sort of a very light foundation … the Miracle Compact is really good for that because it’s not really thick and you see the skin underneath, which is really nice. I think you have to do it in a way that says fun and just enjoy the process of getting ready. I always put on music, I light candles, I have friends with me … I make a whole thing out of it. Sometimes I enjoy the getting ‘ready part’ of my evening more than the going out part, which is a bit worrying, but I really enjoy that whole ritual.”
“More than anything I think fashion just has to be something that’s fun, if it’s not fun there’s no point in it really. It has to be something you enjoy and that makes you feel good and makes you feel comfortable, so I really focus on that. And yeah, just experimenting and being creative with it.”
ElleTaiwan have released a new behind-the-scenes video for another of Emma’s promotionals for Lancôme, the same products she was in Hong Kong to promote last week. The video, for Lancôme’s ‘Blanc Expert Derm-Brystal’ and ‘UV Expert BB Complete’ (thanks to Watson Uncensored for the info), was shot by Mario Testino and features Emma in a glittery silver dress.
Elle Taiwan also had a quick interview-type thing with Emma while she was in Hong Kong. According to the article (and a quick Google Translate that was as truncated as ever), Emma will continue to be the face of Lancôme in 2012 and enjoys using Lancôme’s ‘Expert’ line as it gives a natural look that doesn’t look like it’s caked on; she also mentioned that the product covers her flaws and blemishes effortlessly and provides “100 per cent coverage”.
We’ve added even more high qualities from the V.I.P. Dinner in Hong Kong, as well as new high qualities from the press conference from the previous day. Also added, preview images from Emma’s upcoming ‘Rouge in Love‘ campaign for Lancôme; a few small photos can be found here, here and here.
And now for some tidbits! The Fashion Court have identified and reported on Emma’s choice of outfits for the press conference and the dinner: for the press conference she wore a Luisa Beccaria outfit consisting of a “milky white and powder blue corsage appliqué blouse that she paired with a matching high waist skirt”, while for the dinner she opted for a midnight blue Elie Saab cocktail dress with matching Jimmy Choo platform pumps.
As we reported previously Emma attended a V.I.P. Dinner for Lancôme in Hong Kong last night. As ambassadress, Emma was there to promote the brand and gave the attendees a preview into upcoming Lancôme lines. Clearer photos and video from the night are slowly trickling in and we’re slowly adding them to the galleries.
Emma wore a backless blue Ellie Saab dress and silver Jimmy Choo sandal pumps to the dinner.
“This is my first time to Hong Kong… this is my second time to Hong Kong. I came a few years ago and I absolutely love the city. I always love traveling in Asia. It has such an amazing and really interesting culture and history. I love the landscape. It’s a very urban city.”
Emma’s rumoured next stop will be at the Dubai International Film Festival for the premiere of “My Week With Marilyn”, along with co-stars Michelle Williams, Kenneth Branagh and Judi Dench. See more about this event.
A few blurry photos from her first and second day (assumptions on my part; different outfits) promotions have been uploaded to the galleries; the first event, with Emma wearing a frilly white summer dress, was a luncheon launch party (?), while the second event, with Emma wearing a glittery backless little black dress, is from the V.I.P. Lancôme Dinner.
An interview from the red carpet can be seen here on our Youtube page. In the interview, Emma talks about her time in Hong Kong, her work with Lancôme, gives some advice for her younger fans and speaks a little Cantonese.
“This is my first time to Hong Kong… this is my second time to Hong Kong. I came a few years ago and I absolutely love the city. I always love traveling in Asia. It has such an amazing and really interesting culture and history. I love the landscape. It’s a very urban city.”
“I’ve been working today. I did go out last night. This is my second time to the city. I managed to do a lot of sightseeing the last time I was here.”
“Just try to be true to who you are and do the best to feel comfortable in your own skin. You are alright exactly as you are.”
“I’ve never learned how to speak Cantonese. I would love to. It’s even the… I love the writing. It’s so beautiful and intricate.”
