April 28, 2008: DH release date, plus HP: The Exhibition

Firstly, thanks to various tips, we now know that the final Potter movie (well, part one anyway) will be released November 19, 2010. In a movie news update, ComingSoon.net has posted a tiny article relating to the release date.

We now have an official date for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I and it’s November 19, 2010. So far, it’s the only movie scheduled for that date. source

Similarly, the HBP video game will be released to coincide with the movie. EA games announced it found it would be better to launch the game at the same time as the movie. It will be available for the following machines: Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, PS2, PSP, DS, PC, mac and mobile devices. Thanks to HPANA for the tip!

Plus, Jo has updated EWO with news of a Potter Exhibition. PR NewsWire released the press statement, adding:

Fans around the world will finally be able to see the incredible craftsmanship and detail that went into creating their favorite props and costumes. source

The exhibition will display the costumes, props and magic from the Potter world to fans. It is set to be launched and opened in Sping 2009. It has already launched it’s official website.

Phew.

edit! Thanks to the wonderful Claire we now have a translation from a Spanish video posted a little while ago. The video is here, and I’ve added the translation into our press archive.

For example, in this movie we don’t see any feelings growing between Ron and Hermione. Although it’s important that there’s a tension between them, these subtleties are not in the scripts.

March 15, 2008: Emma’s clothes back on re-auction plus DH split

Thanks to Laurie, we all now know that Emma’s auctioned clothes for Sense are back for re-auction, due to fradulent bidding on the last auction. The new auction can be located here - currently, it’s up to £620.00! The auction closes on March 21st 2008.

Also, thanks to various tips (sorry I haven’t gotten back to many tips!) we have gotten word that the final Potter movie, Deathly Hallows will be split into two movies, one premiering in November 2010 and the other in May 2011. In an exclusive interview, LA Times learnt from WB that the movie will be infact split. Recently, producer David Heyman talked to Empire about the split. David Yates will direct the final movies.

Now the big dilemma, which premiere do I go to? The first final premiere or the final final premiere? Decisions, decisions. :P

And finally, Emma has been placed at number seven on kiwibox.com’s “Fresh Faced Beauties” page. Thanks to Jane for the tip, via a comment on the EWnet Forums.

Emma Watson, most notably recognized from the Harry Potter series, made her professional debut into acting with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. At only 17, she’s got an amazing face even without layers of makeup. The natural blond has an innocent smile, making it one of her greatest features, next to her eyes of course.

Thank you very much to all the tips we received (from Laurie, Anna, Tobi, Janet, Faranak and Jane!) - it was quite a shock to visit our inbox and see it overflowed with tips and news!

February 20, 2008: News Scraps

A brief article on Style.com quotes Emma as saying about London’s National Portrait Gallery: “I used to come here as a kid.” Emma also placed ninth on Vogue’s list of 10 Best Dressed for the week of February 16, 2008 at Style.com!

A member of an Emma Watson fansite forum found a video taken at Emma’s Oxford Union speech in November, 2006! You can check it out on YouTube here with thanks to Emma-Watson.net and Totally-Emma.net. Emma gave this speech way back even before I♥W was around. You can read a report given by The Leaky Cauldron here. We only ever saw about eight small pictures via TLC, again, from the event. If any of you were lucky fans who made it to the speech, we’d love you to send in your reports or photos from the event!

Some of you may remember the Fan of the Month competition and graphics competition we held monthly for a time. Fanzone fans, rejoice, for the competitions are back! Check out the Fan of the Month and Graphics Competition pages and go ahead and enter! You have almost ten days - till February 28th - to enter both competitions; winners will receive an award banner and special mention on I♥W.

Lois Lowry wrote in her latest blog post that production on the film version of her book “The Giver” has been delayed as, she says, David Yates (who directed “Order of the Phoenix” and is currently directing “Half-Blood Prince”) plans to direct the final Harry Potter movie first.

David Heyman and David Barron, the producers of the Potter films, recently said they were still considering splitting the final movie into two films and that a director had not yet been chosen.

EDIT: Emma is featured on Who What Wear Daily’s “Style Stalker”, where they link to affordable items similar to what Emma wore at the Gallery last week. Thanks to Emma-Watson.net for letting us know!

Emma’s official site has also been updated with a few more photos of her at the Order of the Phoenix UK premiere this summer.
