In similar “Deathly Hallows: Part 2″ news, an advanced screening of the movie was held in Chicago over the weekend and a plethora of spoilers from the movie have been released. For those who are extremely curious or who give into temptation easily, Leaky has a detailed report available online. Final warning: there are spoilers in that post, read at your own discretion.
In “Perks” news, Emma and Logan have a brand new co-star: Mae Whitman has signed up to play Mary Elizabeth, Charlie’s first girlfriend. The article from Variety not only confirms this casting decision but also mentions that filming begins next month in Pittsburg.
More reminders: “Deathly Hallows: Part 1″ comes out on DVD in less than two weeks and, coincidently, Emma’s 21st birthday! Don’t forget to vote Potter for this year’s National Movie Awards voting.

Lots of “Deathly Hallows” news has miraculously sprouted up over the past few days, including new video, photos and tidbits to whet any Emma fan’s appetites! Check ‘em out below.
• Three new clips, which will be featured on the Blu-Ray edition of “Deathly Hallows: Part 1″, have surfaced online. The first one is an adorably intimate deleted scene of Ron and Hermione skipping stones across a lake while on the run from the Death Eaters, Snatchers and the Ministry; the second is also a deleted scene and doesn’t feature Emma exactly, but is of the Death Eater, Yaxley, searching the Granger house but finding it empty; the third is a new behind-the-scenes featurette of the “7 Potters” scene where the actors mention the difficulties of shooting the scene.
• A couple of days ago Dan Radcliffe (Harry Potter) mentioned that some of his castmates would be joining him in New York to visit his show (“How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying”) and to attend the joint-event of New York DVD launch for “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1″ and the opening of the “Harry Potter” Exhibition. Even though many Emma fans speculated that she would attend, a tentative list was released by MTV and Emma, nor Rupert, has been listed as not attending.
• Nominations for this year’s National Movie Awards have been released and both Emma and both parts “Deathly Hallows” have been nominated. Voting is currently open and will remain open until April 18th. Emma’s and the movie’s nominations can be seen below. To make things a little trickier, Emma is up against both Rupert and Dan in her category, as well as Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange) and some other top-notch Hollywood acting talent.

• The love-it-or-hate-it epilogue has been filmed and is going to be included in the Part 2, but only for a couple of minutes. Speaking from CinemaCon in Las Vegas producer David Heyman confirmed that the scene would only be shown for two minutes, with the production crew choosing to focus on the more important details and will revolve around the cylce of life of the three main characters.
“It’s not long. It’s about two … a couple of minutes,” Barron said. “It’s long enough to tell its story. We like it. We think it works well, and it does leave you feeling a bit [emotional]. [...] We’re expressing it through our three principle characters, who obviously have had a terrible time in many respects. Because they have been fighting Voldemort for longer than we can remember, and came close to death, you’ll see the state of the school at the end. It was not an easy battle,” he said. “As countries, as nations do, as cultures do, they recover and they renew and life carries on. It is about renewal.”
“[The epilogue is] about the cycles of life,” Heyman explained. “It’s about Harry, Ron and Hermione taking their children to King’s Cross station to the very place where the story began, to begin the journey that they began many years ago. It’s really beautiful and really tender.” Source
