ITV1 have released a short promo ahead of their July 11th featurette, which can be viewed here. The clip shows some brand new behind-the-scenes footage plus some cute Potter moments, albeit a little fast! All this getting you excited yet?

GMTV recently interview Tom Felton, and now Rupert and Emma and tomorrow, they interview Dan! GMTV has also uploaded a promo picture with Emma and Rupert. This will be your sixth premiere, does it change, does it get any more exciting, or more boring?
It’s got easier as I’ve learnt what to expect. I think the first time I went on to a red carpet I was 11 or 12 and it’s quite something. It’s so nice to see that people are still so fond of the series and so excited about the film. source

Emma recently made an appearance on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross; a couple of medium quality promotional stills have been released by the BBC press office – and just for all you ihw.net visitors, a high quality still of Emma being adorable! The interview is in two parts on Youtube – check them out! – part one and part two!

Plus, some highlights from the interview:

+ Emma and Rupert were chosen before Dan was. Emma completed all up about eight auditions for ‘Harry Potter’.

+ ‘Deathly Hallows’ finishes filming in April 2010.

+ Emma, Dan and Rupert filmed a scene for the Harry Potter theme park.

+ She’s confirmed that she’s going to school in the States! She prefers the “broad curriculum” that they offer in the States.

+ She regrets some of the things she had to forgo, such as missing birthday parties, sleepovers; however, she sees her experience not as a loss, but as learning experience.

+ She’s not impressed with “broomsticks” and “wand” pick-up lines. Her pick-up peeve is being compared to the “girl from Narnia” (Anna Popplewell), or some chick from Lord of the Rings.

+ She confirms she has a boyfriend. *awkward pause*

+ She’s seen the finished film! She and select cast saw a finished version of ‘Half Blood Prince’ while Dan was performing ‘Equus’ in New York.

+ Emma’s seen ‘Equus’! She remarks that the play was: “quite something”.

+ Admits that when the cast were younger, they were scared of Alan Rickman!

+ Emma on the kiss: “the most horrible thing” to do as it felt like incest – she can’t describe is any other way! During the kiss she was quite glad that she got to close her eyes! The kiss took six takes!

ITV1 is set to air a new behind-the-scenes featurette on July 11th at 7pm BST which will include interviews with Dan Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson, new footage from the sixth film, and a a tour of the set at Leavesden Studios! After a little bit of searching, I’ve managed to track down a high quality promo featuring interviewer/host Ben Shepherd and Emma as Hermione in the interview chair! Also up, in gallery-related-updates, brand new ‘Half Blood Prince’ promotional stills and behind-the-scenes trio photos! A bunch of Potter stills appeared online last week, including four which feature Emma as the brainy bookworm, Hermione Granger! This lot of stills features Hermione in the stands during Quidditch tryouts; before the big Quidditch match; at the Slug Club next to Neville (discussing spoons?); and with Harry and Ron at the Burrow. The behind-the-scenes photo shows the trio walkin’ and talkin’ across the Hogwarts grounds. Follow the previews for more photos!

Plus, some new unseen images! First up, a brand new (albeit, tiny) headshot image and secondly, a new unseen photoshoot image (unseen only to me? I dunno) from a Polish (?) And now onto a truck-load of Emma quotes, recently spouted by Emma through the week! First up, an interview with Film Review Online, Emma discusses her memories of shooting Half-Blood Prince and ‘teasing’ her co-stars during their on-screen smooches; a brief transcript from the BBC Press Site shines some insight on Emma’s views of University, auditioning, and ‘that kiss’ with Rupert (she also mentions that she’s ‘scared of Potter fans’!); to the L.A. Times Emma talks emailing Jo, being ‘intimidated’ by Jo and her fond memories of Potter; with MovieFone she discusses romance in HP6 (a topic I’m sure we’ll be hearing heaps on in the coming months!); and to ITV she briefly comments upon Lavender and Ron’s relationship! Also, did Dan spill the beans on which University Emma will be attending in autumn? Until we get confirmation, this will be considered a rumour, okies? (Emma has confirmed that she will be attending University in the States – on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross! – but she hasn’t confirmed which University she is planning on attending.)

Onward to the tidbits!

With Rupert having his first kissing scene, did any of you have fun poking fun at him?
Not really, he’s so laid back, he didn’t seem that embarrassed about it. Maybe he was. He’s just such a lovely guy. I certainly didn’t tease him about it. source

She didn’t think she’d ever be Hermione: “By the time I got to audition, I was in pieces, I didn’t know I had the part.” source

“I must admit I still feel quite intimidated by [JKR],” Watson said. “Not because she is actually intimidating, but because I admire her so much, and we have all been such mad fans of the books and her and everything.” source

“There’s so much kissing going on in this book!” Watson says. And fans aren’t the only ones who get excited by the Hogwarts smooch fests. Radcliffe admits he was disappointed he missed the kiss between Ron and Lavender, “Just ’cause I thought it’d be pretty funny.” source

But Watson seems to be enjoying all the opportunities for photoshoots and red carpet premieres. “Yeah, totally, but she’s much more natural at them than I am. She’s more suited to being able to talk to anyone – I get very nervous about those events. She’s been photographed at a lot of [fashion] things, and I think that’s a world she’s very interested in. I’ve seen some of the clothes she’s designed and [they're] very good. She’s very clever. Do you know her GCSE results?” His eyes boggle: “I was thrilled with mine – seven Bs, two As and an A*. I think Emma got three As and seven A*s – she’s incredibly academic, it’s frightening. Me and Rupert to all intents and purposes dropped out of school. And she’s going to Brown.” He shakes his head in admiration of Watson’s place at the US Ivy League college. source

I was also able to add two more outtakes from the Arved Colvin-Smith photoshoot – I’m pretty sure they’re the same picture but cut at different places and one is bigger than the other. Oh well! Enjoy anyway! Also, the full interview for the Times Magazine scans are online, with Emma talking about ‘The Kiss’ between Potter sidekickers, Ron and Hermione. The kiss has been filmed and was done in six takes! Both Rupert and Emma have issued statements about the kiss:

Also in this post, another couple of scans featuring Emma as Hermione from the upcoming ‘Potter’ flick, due to premiere in Tokyo next week! A note, we do not know if Emma will be at the Tokyo premiere, but we have confirmed that she will be making appearances at the London and Los Angeles premiere of the movie, so keep those eyes peeled!

In other Potter-related news, a French behind-the-scenes video has appeared online! From the French 50 Minutes Inside program, the feature showcased brand new footage, new interviews with the main and supporting cast and some really indepth looks at some of the Potter sets, including Slughorn’s Party (with Hermione in a light pink dress) and Gred and Forge’s shop. Bit later … London Taxi Tours spotted the Trio shooting in Whitehall, London on June 28th. The site is reporting that they were filming “Ministry scenes” from ‘Deathly Hallows’. They were able to snap a few photos, which can be seen at the their website. Also, The Scottish Sunday Mail has posted interviews with Daniel Radcliffe and Jim Broadbent on their experiences on set. Dan comments on Emma’s “mad” ping-pong skills:

“Emma is not allowed to play because she really is too good,” laughs Dan. “If she comes into the room to play we say we are too tired. But we really can’t face the humiliation of being beaten by her again.” source

Spanish Seventeen is particularly awesome as it features a new Emma photo from ‘that’ shoot which is now circulating around the internet.

The issue, with Johnny Depp on the cover, is the July 2009; there’s a sneak peek up on their website, but there’s no sight of the HBP feature, se we’ll have to wait until someone gets scans!

Also, Wizard Universe has released the Emma segment of their Trio on-set interview. It’s rather brief and short, but gives us a little more indepth into Hermione’s character in the upcoming movie, plus Emma’s most memorable scene and her comments on a variety of topics, including the choice of directors, acting after Potter and the fan’s possible upcoming reactions. What is Hermione’s big moment and big sequence in the sixth film?
WATSON: There’s this mean girl called Lavender who has a bit of a crush on Ron. It’s leaked in the beginning of the film that Hermione and Ron are finally going to get it together, and then she steps in. Hermione is sensitive and quite mean, really. And it’s very much about how she sort of despises Lavender. Not really because she’s taken Ron away, but because she’s kind of the opposite of Hermione. So it’s very comic and also quite sad for her. It’s very Ron based, her part. source

One of the first things you notice wandering around the outskirts-of-London set of ‘Potter’? There are twice the number of main characters. Each lead has a stand-in, and they look so strikingly similar (and are also sporting identical costumes), it’s easy to confuse them at any distance. “It’s weird,” Grint admits. “And they all sit together at lunchtime!” Emma Watson even admits she wishes she could send her body double to education classes in her place. The only problem? “She’s like 24, something like that,” Watson says. source

Who do you think is the better role model: Bella from ‘Twilight’ or Hermione?
Not having seen the film [laughs] … it would be a little unfair to comment, but of course I will say Hermione, because she is just the best. source

“You cast for the moment, you have no sense of how someone is going to survive or how they’re going to develop. I’ve been very fortunate with the kids. I guess I have paranoid moments where I will hear something in my own voice or I’ll go “Gosh, do I sound like Hermione then?” You know, I definitely have an awareness of it because I’ve played her for so long and she is so distinctive and she is so much a part of me. So yes, I definitely have an awareness of it, but Pea was more gentle. I instantly felt a different person or character playing her. I definitely had a sense that… It worked out okay. I was worried about it but it worked out okay, I think. [laughs] source

During the recent press day interviews for the upcoming animated film THE TALE OF DESPEREAUX, actress EMMA WATSON was on hand to talk about her role as Princess Pea but the conversation kept getting hijacked and directed to all things HARRY POTTER.

WATSON was game and talked about her role as Hermoine in the hugely popular franchise and even spilled a few beans about what are the worst and best things about doing a POTTER movie. source
