Please note that while Emma does have all these places to communicate with fans she does deserve that her fans respect her privacy and that a healthy boundary between 'Emma-the-actress' and 'Emma-the-girl' should be maintained!

New “the Bling Ring” Trailer & Emma’s Character is Hateable

Posted by Sarah in The Bling Ring2 Comments

The updates for The Bling Ring just keep coming in, and we are certainly ok with that! There is a new trailer for the Bling Ring and you can view it below.

Along with the new trailer, we also have a brand new article where Emma talks about her character in the film, Nikki. Here is what she had to say.

Sure, we’ve seen Emma Watson writhing on the dance floor in Sofia Coppola’s “The Bling Ring,” but the film’s first trailer marks the first time we’ve heard her thick, Southern California mallrat accent. And its the cherry on top of the first hateable character she has ever played.

“She’s superficial, materialistic, vain, amoral. She’s all of these things and I realized that I hated her,” the 23-year-old actress told British GQ of her character Nikki, based on a real life teen who, along with her posse, robbed the homes of celebrities.

Watson’s character is loosely based on Alexis Neiers, a model and former reality show star. Shortly after filming the pilot for the short lived E! show, “Pretty Wild,” Neiers was arrested for her involvement in the so-called Bling Ring robberies.

“When I read the script and I realized that essentially it was a meditation on fame and what it’s become to our society, I had to do it. The character is everything that I felt strongly against,” the former “Harry Potter” star said.

In the trailer, premiering exclusively here on Yahoo! Movies, Watson’s misguided character addresses the press, seemingly enthralled by her moment of fame: “I’m a firm believer in karma,” she says with Paris Hilton-esque voice inflection. (Speaking of Hilton, she was one of the real life celebrity victims in the Bling Ring robberies. And she makes a cameo in the film.)

Watson’s air-headed character deflects blame, adding, “And I think the situation is a huge learning lesson for me to grow and expand as a spiritual human being. I wanna lead a country one day for all I know.”

“The Bling Ring” Coming to Cannes Film Festival & New Clip!

Posted by Sarah in The Bling Ring1 Comment

Hi Emma fans! Today we have quite a treat for you. A few days ago, it was announced that Emma’s upcoming film, the Bling Ring will be premiering at Cannes Film Festival in France on May 15. Hopefully we will have some new pretty event pictures of Emma to see from this event.

Emma Watson and her sticky-fingered pals are going to bring some bling (and hopefully not steal any on their way out) to Cannes Film Festival later this month.

Sofia Coppola-directed “The Bling Ring” will premiere during the Un Certain Regard portion of the festival, the Cannes Film Festival announced on Wednesday. While “The Bling Ring” is showing at the festival, it won’t be eligible for the big prize, the Palme d’Or, given that it’s premiering during the Un Certain Regard.

Read more about this here!

To top off this new information, I have also just uncovered a new film clip of Emma in the Bling Ring that we have not previously posted. View it below!

It is definitely a more risque role for Emma and it will be very interesting viewing her performance. What do you think of the clip?

Emma turns down Cinderella and Turns it on for The Bling Ring

Posted by Siobhan in New Videos Rumors The Bling Ring2 Comments

According to MTV Emma has decided against starring in the leading role in Kenneth Brannagh and Disney’s live action Cinderalla.

The former Harry Potter star was claimed to have been the first choice for the title role in the update of the classic fairytale – which will be directed by Sir Kenneth Branagh.

But now Variety reporter Marc Graser has tweeted: “Emma Watson has decided NOT to star in Disney’s CINDERELLA.”

The refusal is said to be owing to her already hectic schedule. Personally I think it’s a shame – all Kenneth Brannagh films are fabulous in my opinion; hello Lockhart!

Emma has also been rumoured recently, again, to be tied to 50 Shades of Grey. Although most sources are debunking the claims, the IBTimes tells us that the rumours generate from notorious hackers:

The rumours are believed to originate from a hacker team called M3du5a, working in conjunction with the globally known Anonymous Collective, and come from documents stolen from the German studio Constantin Film. A report by Cinema Blend states Watson has been shortlisted to play the naive but sexually adventurous young heroine. However, it is unclear if the documents in question are new or older papers, meaning Watson may have been considered for the role but is now not involved in the project.

Universal Pictures and Focus Features have responded by saying “no one has been cast yet”.

However, in a more positive light, one film we do know Emma is starring in is The Bling Ring – and this week the first official trailer was released which you can watch below!

I am having a few problems accessing our galleries at the moment, but new pictures from the film will be added shortly too.

Emma, Logan and Ezra sit down with MTV Movies and talk “Perks”

MTV have uploaded their thirty minute long interview with the “Perks” cast – Emma, Logan and Ezra. They’ve broken the interview into sizeable chunks and they’ve uploaded thirteen videos onto their main site. If you’re lucky enough to not be region-locked, it’s quite a fun interview. Emma, Logan and Ezra answer a whole lot of questions and have quite a bit of fun during the interview.

Emma and Logan also speak about their upcoming film, “Noah”, and Emma also talks about “The Bling Ring”. Emma also adds that Guillermo del Toro has started working on the “Beauty” script and there are still hopes that “Beauty” will start filming Summer 2013.

Follow this nifty link to see all the interview segments.

“Perks” and Emma featured in latest edition of Entertainment Weekly

As we told you a couple of days ago, Entertainment Weekly have featured “Perks” in their upcoming fall movies to watch feature. The magazine also has a new interview with Emma, where she discusses filming “Perks”, Pittsburgh, her American accent and even touches on her Coppola docudrama, “The Bling Ring”. Scans and a transcript from the interview can be seen below.

Big thank you to Ali from Ian Somerhalder Web for the scans!

Emma Watson
[from] The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Stephen Chombsky not only wrote the novel The Perks of Being a Wallflower but he wrote the screenplay and directed the film, too. That’s unusual.
In terms of being true to the book, we couldn’t fail. And that’s a relief. It’s always scary when you know how much something means to other people – you don’t want to mess it up.

How did he persuade you to play Sam, a rebellious and popular high school girl?
At our initial meeting, he said, “Okay, not only is this going to be one of the most important parts you play, you’re also going to have the summer of your life and meet some of your best friends.” I thoguht, “That’s quite a claim. Who is this guy?” [laughs] Everything he said came true.

I’m assuming it was a fun shoot?
Who knew Pittsburgh was going to become one of my favourite places in the world? When I first arrives, I was like, “Oh my God, this is going to be awful – we’re here for seven weeks? There’s nothing here!” And then it worked out perfectly. [The cast and crew] all lived together in a hotel, and all the rooms were connected. We ate together every night, played music and games. A lot of barriers come down when you’re living together.

How hard was it to master an American accent?
Before I started on the movie, I lost a lot of sleep over it, I have to tell you. I’ve watched movies when actors don’t get the accents spot-on, and it immediately takes you out of the moment. So I really felt like I had to get it right. I worked with an amazing voice coach, and we went through every single word and every single syllable and really hammered it.

You recently wrapped Sofia Coppola’s The Bling Ring, where you play a fame-obsessed teen who tobs celebrities’ homes.
I’m partly filled wih dread and partly filled with excitement. It’s weird to play this crazy girl. If people find it difficult seeing me with an American accent, wait until they see this.
