Entertainment Weekly have posted their newest batch of ‘first look’ images of some of highly anticipated future movies, including “The Bling Ring”! A new photo has been posted, as well as a little blurb from Emma about how she prepared for the role of Nicki.
To prepare for writer-director Sofia Coppola’s drama (release date TBD) about the real-life, fame-obsessed thieves who allegedly stole from the homes of celebs like Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and The Hills’ Audrina Patridge, Emma Watson (center) turned to the best resource imaginable. “I just watched a ton of reality TV,” she says. “I was doing an English course [at Brown University]. So I would go from reading Virginia Woolf to [watching] Kim Kardashian. I kind of loved it, this mix of super-high and super-low culture. I think it was a nice balance.”
The first promotional still from Sofia Coppola’s “The Bling Ring” was unveiled at Cannes today. The new image showcases the ensemble cast – including Emma as Nicki – and was revealed online by @ChrisGruet_CEO on Twitter.
Filming on “The Bling Ring” has wrapped for Emma and she has jetted back to London to do … stuff. Emma has also gifted her fans with an exclusive photo of herself as Nicki, a girl who likes “lip gloss, purses, yoga, pole dancing, uggs, louboutins, juice cleanses, iced coffee and tattoos”.”The Bling Ring” is scheduled for a 2013 release.
Emma has also added another project to her filmography. She will be playing herself in Seth Rogan’s directional debut in apocalypse film, “End of the World”, according to Variety.com. Variety are also reporting that Emma will start filming “Your Voice in My Head” this year.
After several weeks of courting, “Harry Potter” star Emma Watson has agreed to play herself in “End of the World,” an apocalyptic comedy from Mandate Pictures and Point Grey Pictures that Sony will distribute.
Watson had been skedded to shoot David Yates’ adaptation of Emma Forrest’s novel “Your Voice in My Head” this spring, but when Warner Bros. delayed the start of production a few weeks, she became available for “End of the World.” WME-repped thesp is currently filming Sofia Coppola’s “The Bling Ring.”

Emma Watson co-hosted the Mulberry barbecue in a Mulberry autumn/winter 2012-13 fuzzy tiger playsuit with a vintage hat and beaten-up leather jacket. She told us she was looking forward to “Bon Ivor and Feist” and spending time with her British friends and co-star Katherine Pierce from her new film The Perks of Being a Wallflower. “I’ve only got five weeks left in LA, shooting an indie with Sofia Coppola has just been such an amazing opportunity,” she said of her new film, which has shot scenes in Paris Hilton’s home. And her festival ensemble? “Disappointingly it’s meant to be chilly, so jeans and a shaggy gilet.”

Another set of on the set pictures of Emma shooting “The Bling Ring” have surfaced, this time from Venice, California! Emma swapped her black skinnies and furry gilet for jean short-shorts and a white halter top to film scenes with director Sofia Coppola and co-stars Taissa Farmiga and Israel Broussard; she also took some time off to take a photo with a young fan!
Emma and her co-stars were spotted strutting down Hollywood Boulevard a few days ago filming the Coppola-directed flick, “The Bling Ring”. Decked out in her extensions, killer heels and black skinny jeans, the foursome sipped Starbucks drinks and shot their lines. Emma was on set with co-stars by Israel Broussard, Taissa Farmiga and Katie Chang.
