Filming on “The Bling Ring” has wrapped for Emma and she has jetted back to London to do … stuff. Emma has also gifted her fans with an exclusive photo of herself as Nicki, a girl who likes “lip gloss, purses, yoga, pole dancing, uggs, louboutins, juice cleanses, iced coffee and tattoos”.”The Bling Ring” is scheduled for a 2013 release.
Emma has also added another project to her filmography. She will be playing herself in Seth Rogan’s directional debut in apocalypse film, “End of the World”, according to Variety.com. Variety are also reporting that Emma will start filming “Your Voice in My Head” this year.
After several weeks of courting, “Harry Potter” star Emma Watson has agreed to play herself in “End of the World,” an apocalyptic comedy from Mandate Pictures and Point Grey Pictures that Sony will distribute.
Watson had been skedded to shoot David Yates’ adaptation of Emma Forrest’s novel “Your Voice in My Head” this spring, but when Warner Bros. delayed the start of production a few weeks, she became available for “End of the World.” WME-repped thesp is currently filming Sofia Coppola’s “The Bling Ring.”
David Yates is currently in London to promote the upcoming grand opening of the Warner Bros. Leavesden Studio Tour and sat down for several round-table interviews with the world’s press and various “Harry Potter” fansites. During one of the sit-down interviews, two fansites, LeakyNews.com and SnitchSeeker.com, asked Yates about his upcoming projec with Emma, “Your Voice in My Head”. David confirms that Emma is attached to star in the drama and remarks that she is very excited to be so. He also drops some very flattering statements about Emma’s acting potential and feels that, with the right role, Emma could be “incredible”.
And in other “Your Voices in My Head”-related news, the role of the terminally ill psychiatrist who helps Emma’s character find the meaning of life is currently being offered to renowned actor, Stanley Tucci, Variety.com reports. The film has yet to be green-lit but Yates expresses interest (in the first video interview above) to beginning filming in the summer.
Edit: “Your Voice in My Head” has been added to Emma’s official website as an in development project!
Deadline.com are reporting that Emma is set for a reunion with “Potter” director, David Yates, to star in an upcoming drama, “Your Voice in My Head”. According to the article, Warner Bros. are attempting to buy the script rights to produce the flick, with Yates as director. Emma would play “a young woman who attempts suicide before being saved by a New York-based psychiatrist who’s dying of cancer”.
Collider.com added that, along with Emma as the female lead, George Clooney and Tom Hanks are currently in negotiations for the psychiatrist role.
Warner Bros is negotiating to acquire Your Voice in My Head, the Emma Forrest-scripted drama based on the scribe’s memoir that is expected to be the next film by director David Yates. The film is shaping up to be a Harry Potter reunion. Further completing the Harry Potter reunion on Your Voice in My Head is the fact that Warner Bros. is negotiating to acquire the film. As for the male lead in the project, Deadline reports that the studio is aiming for a big name as Tom Hanks and George Clooney are apparently in the mix. Personally, I’m ecstatic to see Yates take on such delicate dramatic material. I felt he capped the Harry Potter franchise off perfectly with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, and I’m incredibly excited to see where he takes his career next. via Collider.com
