Some of Emma’s co-stars and production crew members from “Perks”, “People Tree” and her latest rumoured project, “Beauty”, have spoken out about Emma and what it was like working with her.
Ezra Miller, who is acting alongside Emma in “Perks” as Patrick, has spoken about Emma’s role as the risque and party-loving Sam; Nina Dobrev, who is also in “Perks” and is playing Candace, has also talked to the press about Emma’s performance in “Perks” and mentions that fans will be shocked about with her character performance! Going back to Emma’s fashion endeavours, Safia Minney, the creator and founder of “People Tree”, has talked briefly about her relationship with Emma and how she and Emma came together to create Emma’s three lines with them; and finally, Guillermo del Toro – he confirms that they have met and discussed the project and expresses his interest in having Emma as the lead.
The more we hear about Watson’s upcoming flick, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, the more it sounds like exactly what she needs to prove there’s more to her than just Harry Potter…
“You better gird your loins,” Perks actor Ezra Miller told me the other day while promoting his newest flick, Beware the Gonzo. “When it comes to Emma people just have no idea. People have no idea what they’re in for. It’s great!” Read more at the source.
“The world has only seen her basically in one role—a pretty conservative, sweet, smart character, which is great,” Watson’s Wallflower costar Nina Dobrev told us earlier today while promoting her PSA for Puma’s breast cancer charity organization Project Pink. “But this one, she pushes the envelope in a different way than anyone’s ever seen her, which is really great. It’s a great role for her.”
“I think they’re going to be excited to see her in something else,” Dobrev says. “And see her spread her wings and try different things. It’s always exciting to see someone you love do something different and see a different side of them.” Read more at the source.
How exactly did the partnership with the actress Emma Watson come to be?
It was her mother that knew someone on our board – an Oxford Professor who works a lot on fair-trade. A meeting was set up and it went from there! She was really creative, really open-minded and absolutely lovely to work with. We took her out to Bangladesh this time last year and she was stunned by the level of artistry and hand-skills that go into making product. She was very involved and thinks about things very deeply, which was just wonderful. Read more at the source.
How’s the tone of the Beauty and the Beast project coming?
Well, I met with Emma Watson about it because I’m very interested in doing the movie with her. She’s just perfect for the film, and we talked about the classic iteration of the tale. I love the sort of darker, beautiful, hopelessly romantic but Gothic take on the tale. We discussed this. Read more at the source.
