April 28, 2008: DH release date, plus HP: The Exhibition

Firstly, thanks to various tips, we now know that the final Potter movie (well, part one anyway) will be released November 19, 2010. In a movie news update, ComingSoon.net has posted a tiny article relating to the release date.

We now have an official date for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I and it’s November 19, 2010. So far, it’s the only movie scheduled for that date. source

Similarly, the HBP video game will be released to coincide with the movie. EA games announced it found it would be better to launch the game at the same time as the movie. It will be available for the following machines: Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, PS2, PSP, DS, PC, mac and mobile devices. Thanks to HPANA for the tip!

Plus, Jo has updated EWO with news of a Potter Exhibition. PR NewsWire released the press statement, adding:

Fans around the world will finally be able to see the incredible craftsmanship and detail that went into creating their favorite props and costumes. source

The exhibition will display the costumes, props and magic from the Potter world to fans. It is set to be launched and opened in Sping 2009. It has already launched it’s official website.

edit! Thanks to the wonderful Claire we now have a translation from a Spanish video posted a little while ago. The video is here, and I’ve added the translation into our press archive.

For example, in this movie we don’t see any feelings growing between Ron and Hermione. Although it’s important that there’s a tension between them, these subtleties are not in the scripts.

April 6, 2008: New Appearance and Goodies Galore!

It’s April of 2008 and we have of-the-month features to announce! Congratulations to Johnny and Leviosa, Pas Leviosaaa for winning the POTM and SOTM awards this month, respectively. Johnny gave a great answer to the question “Do you identify more with Emma or Hermione?” and for that, received the April ‘08 FOTM award, congratulations! Leviosa, Pas Leviosaaa is a great Ron/Hermione shipper fansite to whom we’re glad to present the April ‘08 SOTM award. The Picture of the Month page is always fun to look through - so much cuteness! - and I have one of my own favorite Emma photos, from her Times Online photoshoot, up there for April, so check that out!

The IHW press archives have a new layout up, created by our very own Kaetlyn. Pretty, no? Because this is our first-ever Press Archives Layout Change, we’ve added for the Very First Time, the Press Archives Past Layouts bit to the past layouts page.

Speaking of past layouts - we look a bit different today, no?! The new layout was created by Kaetlyn, featuring photos from Emma’s 2005 Elle Girl photoshoot and textures from Hybrid Genesis. There’s a bit of green, for spring, and we think it’s pretty fun. Pretty, no?

A bit of new appearance news! Emma attended the opening of a Balenciaga store this February and we have, thanks to shyngr8 at the Sassy! forums, a photo of Emma from the event from Vogue UK. There’s a short report from the event at InStyle UK:

Oh there were other journos in the room, but they don’t count because I highly doubt they love Balenciaga as much as I do. Except maybe Emma Watson, who told me: “I have never met the designer before, but I can’t wait. I’m wearing Balenciaga top-to-toe.”

The blurb along with the Vogue UK scan reads:

January 1, 2008: Good Morning, 2008!

First post of the year.

YAY!

Needless to say, this is going to be a big year - for fandom, for Emma, and of course, for us! We celebrate our first birthday in a couple of days (very exciting stuff). But that is not now - right now, seeing as I’m around eleven hours ahead of most people, I get to say HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of y’all. To celebrate this joyous occasion, I’ve uploaded three new videos of Emma at the Order of the Phoenix premiere in LA (err, last year :)).

I may upload some more, but I really can’t give a definite answer.

EDIT! What better way to bring in the new year with some brand new pictures? I’ve managed to get my hands on the outtakes of the July issue of Entertainment Weekly 2007 shoot.
