Firstly, wallpapers! I’ve added eleven new wallpapers thanks to a donation by the fantabulous Martha (thanks again, Martha!!) as well as one by Kaetlyn and two by myself. Those two are rather an experiment again, and I’m quite pleased with one but not quite sure about the other!

Next up, icons! Connor donated fourteen great Emma icons, and in case you missed them earlier, there are also two new Potter icons by Martha up. So if you’re looking for something for your LJ, check those out!

I added another new page today – welcome, banners! In-between signatures and blends, they’re medium-size graphics you can use to prettify your LJ (or any site, really – I’m using one over at my personal!). So we’ve got twelve gorgeous banners by Kaetlyn up there, hope you enjoy that!

Karly is also in the process of uploading several gorgeous fanmixes. Check out the gorgeous cover artwork and song listings for now, and we’ll let you know as soon as we have those available for download.

Kaetlyn has been working hard on the gallery and we now have nearly 400 images in the appearances section, all the way up to the gorgeous 2005 BAFTAs gallery. Check those out if you’re in need of some Emma photos – high-quality and untagged, this gallery is easily the best around.

Finally (finally!), I’ve made the Sparkly! section a bit easier to navigate with links to each person’s artwork on the icons and wallpapers pages. Hope those are helpful, and hope you enjoyed this update!

Allison here, now! I’d like to address the controversy popping up now about the recent merge of four other Emma sites: Electric Watson, Shimmering Emma, Miss Watson, and Princess Emma Watson. For those who haven’t heard, these four sites just recently merged to form Princess Watson. They’ve been getting a lot of obnoxious comments accusing them of copycatting and stealing our ideas and frankly, that’s just not cool.

The four of us can’t truthfully say we weren’t a bit annoyed or angry when we found out that the sites were merging right after we did and visited the new one. It’s really not a big deal, though – this is just a hobby, a cool little project set up to appreciate Emma and for a cool thing for fans to be able to visit and have some fun with. Nobody’s out to take over the world (at this site or their’s), and let’s not freak out and make this a big deal.

Appearances is still getting a work-out done, and I’ve fixed up the errors reported on the Prisoner UK Premiere. Anyway, still uploading, and don’t forget to report errors! Also, I go back to school tomorrow, so gallery updates will lessen to about one or maybe two albums a day, only, but I will try and get more in. :) - Kaetlyn

Another addition to Sparkly includes some pretty fantastic new tutorials I’ve cooked up. The first one explains how to acheive a cool “fragmented” effect – but don’t take my word for it, check it out for yourself! Next up is not only one other tutorial, but TWO! They’re a collection of colouring techniques, displayed in icon size for minimum loading time. View those here. You can expect quite a few more of those to be added in the near future – I’m kind of addicted.

In the fanzone I’ve added some new responses to Why Emma? and Favourite Pairing. Thanks to Natalie, Lauren, R/Hr Fan and Hermione Weasley for your submissions. I’ve got everything from the graphics competition and fan of the month – don’t worry about that! Remember that if you want to be our fan of the month submit your answer by this Wednesday, January 31!

Last but not least, some new affiliates have been added: Lunarry, Samaire Armstrong Online, Brilliant Bookworm, Ron and Hermione Source, Evanna Lynch Online and Magic Dust.

In case you’ve not noticed, also, the gallery is still growing! The Press section is getting a lot of work now – there’s loads of high-quality images up from various HP&PS and HP&COS events. Two new pages in the website section – our awards and past layouts (don’t forget to check out the gorgeous complete layout archives sometime, you can find all the old layouts from all the old sites there!). Speaking of awards, we’ve already won one! Woo! Thanks to Natalie of the very awesome Rupert And Emma Fan for awarding us their Site Of The Month Award for January, 2007. We even got an awesome graphic for winning, so check that out too!

Sparkly! (the media section, in case you’d forgotten) got a lot of updates the last few days. 9 more wallpapers by Allison (that’s me!) and 3 more wallpapers by Lynn, so check those out! Lynn’s also added around 100 new icons in various sections (Emma, Costars, and Potter), so if you’re working on your LJ, don’t miss those. We’ve also uploaded a crazy 46 AIM icons and two bookmarks that were available on the old sites, so poke through those if you hadn’t already seen those.

We’ve all got more media additions planned to come very soon, so stay tuned and we’ll update you on that as soon as we’ve got more to add!

Finally, we’ll be submitting I♥W to various directories this week so as to be able to “spread the awesomeness”. You’ll be able to find all those on the “listed” part of the sidebar (see it? over there on your left?), and you should really check them out because there are some awesome directories. Keep checking our galleries daily, too, ’cause our own awesome Kaetlyn has been uploading like crazy to fill up those pages. We’ve got over a thousand premiere images already and thousands more to go, so don’t forget to bookmark our galleries as your new Emma image source!

Ooh, almost forgot! A few visitors alerted us to the fact that the site coding does not display well in resolutions over 1024 pixels. Thanks for letting us know, I’ll be looking into and trying to correct that over the next couple days.

EDIT: And speaking of coding! I’ve received a few complaints that the site doesn’t work in Internet Explorer. I’ve checked it multiple times and it looks just fine to me in both Firefox and Internet Explorer. If you’re having trouble, you’re probably using an old version of IE. Internet Explorer 7 is now officially released and you can download it from the Microsoft site here. Oh and old versions of IE can leave your computer vulnerable to viruses and the such, so updating would be a swell idea. Thanks, and good luck! - Allison & Kaetlyn

Anyway, here’s the jist (the really short version – you can view the long long looooooooooong version here) – you all know the fantasmic Emma sites Emma Love, Emma Online, Mystique and Emma Fans, right (you’d better!), right? Well, basically, we merged content, galleries, media and fanzone together, squished it into a pulp, ran it through a lawnmower and came out with this, brand spanking new Emma site, IHeartWatson.net.

This is a collaboration between the four webbies (who are not looking for co-webs), who are also coincidentally really good friends. Long story short – we merged and now we’re four times the awesome we were before. The site might not stay as IHeartWatson, and may change, but that comes later, when we’ve all had a talk. So yes. Collaboration (I love big words!).

Anyway, we have a heck of a lot of content on everything (and anything) Emma related, which includes things like quotes, sayings, outfits, funny faces, bits and pieces on Hermione and Harry Potter in general and just anything else that we could find. Also, we have two giant sub-sections. Sparkly! the media place and the the Gallery (which we haven’t given a funky name … not yet anyway), which features the best of the best Emma pictures (also heavily under construction, so you’ll be running into 404 pages every time you turn), in the best quality, so rummage around there! And last but not least, we have the awesome fanzone area, where you can participate in fun and games! Then the site/web section, which is just a lot of info on the site, the past sites and our affiliates.

Sounds like fun? Of course it is. It’s way more fun that even you could imagine! Ha!

It just occured to me, that some of visitors may have not liked one of the webbies/sites and blatantly vowed never to visit a site run by that person. Well, here’s some news: everything on this site has been broken up into sections and mostly, we have broken then up accordingly, so none of you know who did what, so that covers that. None of you also know who wrote what, who manages what and blah blah blah, so you can’t be biased, just like that. See, we planned this for a long long time!

Oh, and we are looking for some new affiliates, so feel free to apply. Oh, and donations – any type! – would be loved/admired/posted/thanked and credited. You can send a general email to the staff, or to a particular webmiss by adding their name to the following address: name@REMOVEiheartwatson.net.
