Teaser Poster for HBP due out February 5th?
According to the following sources, the first teaser poster for the sixth installment of the Potter series is set to hit the web February 5th 2009. Hopefully, this rumour turns out to be true and we’ll start with the avalanche of promotion that comes with Potter movies! Stay tuned and we’ll see what happens!
Jo has updated EWO with a small note on Emma’s Blue Peter donation and a brief mention on Emma’s interview with Live! (the Daily Mail article and shoot). You can view the mini update here.
Also, a few press articles have been added to our archives. Any ‘rumourish’ articles have been tagged as such. Included in this update: Emma’s lack of cinematic familiarity with her co-stars prior to ‘Potter’; her opinions on food, cooking and diet; comments on the WB ‘good behaviour’ clause; Rupert Grint’s worry at having to kiss Emma in DH and Robert Pattinson on the trio’s fame management.
Rob told YOU magazine: “I think the way the kids from Harry Potter are dealing with fame is by ignoring everything and just living their normal lives as much as they can.” source
“Daniel (Radcliffe), Rupert (Grint) and I have been incredibly protected doing the Harry Potter movies. There seems to be this feeling that all of us were bursting to break out of these images we had created but that’s never been the case. We all share the same view. None of us court celebrity, none of us want to be part of the game.” source
“As I’ve known Emma for so long, I reckon it will be 10 times worse,” says the 20-year-old actor, who plays Ron Weasley. source
She said: “Even if I wanted to be that skinny, I love food and I love cooking and I love sitting down and having nice meals, so it just wouldn’t be possible for me.” source
The British star – who shot to fame playing Hermione Granger, one of three starring roles in the popular film franchise – grew up in an academic family and barely watched movies. source
A little request from the staff: we’re not going to delete comments, but excessive language will be modified. You all have the right to state your opinion and debate freely – it’s alright to disagree with Emma, duh! – but we do ask that you refrain from using the f-bomb or other such words. We aim to keep iheartwatson.net as PG-13 as possible.
You guessed it – more ‘Despereaux’!
Sorry about the lateness of this post. But seeing as this post is late, it is due to be epic.
Firstly, I’ve uploaded quite a few new videos, including a bunch of new ‘Tale of Despereaux’ junket interviews. Featured videos would probably include: ‘IGN.com‘, ‘Guardian‘, ‘Coming Soon‘ and ‘Sky News‘. The official ToD website has been updated with a special Christmas greeting for Despereaux fans, featuring Emma – you can view this adorable (and short) clip here! You can check out our growing video archive here, or just skip to the latest uploads below. Also for your convenience, I’ve added an audio page for all the recent radiobroad casts for Despereaux.
Secondly, I’ve managed to unearth pictures from ‘The Tale of Despereaux’ Los Angeles press conference and photocall. They’re only medium quality, but some of these shots are absolutely gorgeous! I guess we can only wait for more of these to be released. In the meantime, enjoy the prettiness here in our galleries! Also new in the gallery – a brand new shot (used new article by USA Today) from what has been dubbed the ‘Scholastic‘ photoshoot – be sure to check that out here!
In even more ‘Despereaux’ related news, the press archives have been updated with even more news articles and interviews! Also nestled in those articles are some preview set reports from Half Blood Prince, with tidbits from waiting to be published set interviews with Emma and the cast! Some snippets can be found below.
Who do you think is the better role model: Bella from ‘Twilight’ or Hermione?
Not having seen the film [laughs] … it would be a little unfair to comment, but of course I will say Hermione, because she is just the best. source“I loved The Little Mermaid,” says Watson, 18. “I really loved Pocahontas — she’s a free spirit, wild and bohemian. I’m a massive animated film fan. And now I have my own.” source
“You cast for the moment, you have no sense of how someone is going to survive or how they’re going to develop. I’ve been very fortunate with the kids. There are so many cases of young kids being damaged by the experience or going off the rails and fortunately with Dan, Rupert and Emma that hasn’t happened to them… yet!” source
I guess I have paranoid moments where I will hear something in my own voice or I’ll go “Gosh, do I sound like Hermione then?” You know, I definitely have an awareness of it because I’ve played her for so long and she is so distinctive and she is so much a part of me. So yes, I definitely have an awareness of it, but Pea was more gentle. I instantly felt a different person or character playing her. I definitely had a sense that… It worked out okay. I was worried about it but it worked out okay, I think. [laughs] source
In non-Despereaux news (long time since we’ve heard that!), I’ve uploaded a short and sweet audio clip of Emma discussing the best and worst of filming the Potter flicks. You can check that out on our brand new audio page or download it directly (don’t forget to right-click, save as!).
During the recent press day interviews for the upcoming animated film THE TALE OF DESPEREAUX, actress EMMA WATSON was on hand to talk about her role as Princess Pea but the conversation kept getting hijacked and directed to all things HARRY POTTER.
WATSON was game and talked about her role as Hermoine in the hugely popular franchise and even spilled a few beans about what are the worst and best things about doing a POTTER movie. source
See? Epic.
Final clips from ABC Family’s clips, plus new press articles!
EDIT: We have the first photo from the premiere! Emma looks lovely and you can view the high-quality photo over at ihwmedia.net or below! We also have a number of medium-quality images, which you can view here.
I’ve added the final clips from ABC Family’s exclusive sneak peek onto our Youtube. You can check those out here, here, here and here. Emma does not appear in features number three and four.
Also, ‘Tale of Despereaux’ promotion is in full swing with three new articles appearing online. They’ve all been added to our press archives. In particular, this article should be of definate interest as Emma mentions being attached to “Napoleon and Betsy” – however, until there is further confirmation (ie. from Emma herself on EWO), this remains a rumour.
“The truth is, I’m not very cool,” she shrugs. She’s not really into stepping out of line — she has never been tempted to date Daniel or Rupert, for example. “The public are desperate for it,” she rolls her eyes. “It would literally be like [a royal marriage]. Luckily, luckily . . . It would be such a nightmare.” She believes in love at first sight, but won’t be drawn on the boy she’s dating at the moment. I suspect he is a “civilian” from among her Oxford friends — she has, in the past, dated someone from a local boys’ school. Is she in love? “I don’t know,” she says, before going a bright shade of cerise. source
I want when people look back on my career for them to not be able to put me in a box and say, “She always played this kind of role.” I want to do everything. I would love to be in a musical. I want to sing. I want to do a crazy Baz Luhrmann “Moulin Rouge!” sort of thing. I’d love to do a period piece. I’d love to do a French film. There are so many options out there! source
Emma jumped at the chance to play the lonely princess, her first cartoon voice, and recorded her part over a three-year period, a few days at a time. Until she got the hang of it, “I was a bit nervous,” she admits. “But it was really fun, and I’m massively proud of it.” source
I’ve also added a brand new photoshoot-y picture to the gallery from the Scholastic interview. It’s only very small but it was just too pretty to go astray! You can view the image right here. There’s also a new gorgeous picture from the Sunday Times Online interview and you can see it in the gallery here!
EDIT: Thanks to Emma-Watson.net, we have scans of the Sunday Times article! If anyone has their own copy and could send in some scans especially for our site, that would be extremely appreciated. For now, enjoy these, courtesy of E-W.net contributer Laura!
Photos from the Tale of Desperaux premiere in L.A. should be showing up online in a few hours, keep your eyes peeled!
