Modelling for Pure Threads

Alberta Ferretti decided to collaborate with Emma Watson after seeing her People Tree clothing designs. Alberta had nothing but praise for her young co-creator, describing her as being “intelligent, with a strong personality, a young, modern girl of today but aware of social issues at the same time”. Part of the proceeds from the line were donated to the People Tree Foundation.

“PURE THREADS” BY ALBERTA FERRETTI AND EMMA WATSON

Alberta Ferretti, acclaimed Italian fashion designer, approached Emma in late 2011 to collaborate and create a completely organic, ethical clothing line. Emma and Alberta designed five unique and simple pieces of clothing – two dresses, a long skirt, a shirt and denim shorts – all either black or white. The line debuted online at albertaferretti.com on March 21.
