Emma always mentions that the most important and influential people in her life are her family. They often accompany her on her promotional trips around the world and even on the red carpet! While Hermione Granger may be an only child in the “Potter” series Emma herself is a big sister to at least four siblings! Emma’s oldest sibling, Alex, now shares the spotlight with his sister as he is now an official model for Burberry, alongside big sister Emma!

Emma’s Father: Chris Watson

Emma is quite the daddy’s girl with her father playing an integral part in her Harry Potter stardom. She revealed in an interview that her dad used to read the Potter books to her and sibling Alex when they were younger and that was what fueled her into auditioning so fiercely for the role of Hermione. Chris is often in attendance with his daughter at premieres and promotional tours and even contributes photos to Emma’s official site! To thank her father for his hard work and tiresless efforts while Emma has been in the spotlight, Emma bought herself and her dad a chateaux in France to go skiing.

Chris is an international-communications lawyer and is married to Julie Watson in North London with their twin daughters, Nina and Lucy, and son, Toby. Emma and Alex share their time between their father’s hosuehold and their mother’s household.

Emma’s Mother: Jacqueline Luesby

While her mother separated and divorced her father in 1995, Jacqueline also plays a vital part in the upbringing of her daughter. Born in Paris, France Emma gets her love from the French from her mother and her French family. When she has time, Jacqueline accompanies her daughter to premieres and television appearances, but opts to remain in the background. She still shares a close and solid relationship with her daughter and son.

Jacqueline Luesby is an Oxford-educated lawyer and lives with her partner, and his two sons, in Oxford. Emma and Alex share their time between their father’s hosuehold and their mother’s household.

Emma’s Step-Mother: Julie Watson

Married to Emma’s father, Chris Watson, Julie is also the mother of Emma’s three half-siblings Toby, Nina and Lucy Watson. Emma has commented frequently that she loves being a big sister to Julie’s children and has been snapped helping twin sisters Lucy and Nina with their ice skates at Somerset and showing younger brother Toby around the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park. Emma has a good relationship with Julie and Julie can be seen at lots of Emma’s premieres and outings.

Emma’s Brother: Alex Watson

Alex Watson has been appearing at premieres and functions since he was little – like his sister, he was a big fan of the books and often accompanies his big sister to A-list events. He has been an extra on two of the Potter flicks, sitting in the background at the Gryffindor table; his work has now extended to modelling alongside his big sister for Burberry. Alex was chosen to pose alongside Emma for Burberry’s Spring/Summer 2010 Campaign. He also appeared in Emma’s fashion director debut, modelling her clothing line for “Love from Emma” for People Tree.

More recently, Alex has gained his own fame with his continued affiliation with Burberry.
